Good morning from the arctic! Class and work are cancelled again today.
…Which is a good thing, considering these are just waiting for me to open my front door:
Gah!! Icicles of death. I still have a cut on my hand from one of them attacking me on Monday morning. They’re back with a vengeance!!
The snow finally stopped last night around 7. Apparently D.C. has officially set a new record: 54.9 inches of snow so far this season!!! That beats out the old 54.4” record from 1898-99.
I feel kind of like I live on a mountain or something. Too bad I don’t own skis!
Now it’s time to start digging ourselves out of this mess… at least the sun is shining today
I’m going to head outside to do a little exploring around the neighborhood… fresh air would be a good thing!
Check back in a bit… I’m working on a super fun post including a GIVEAWAY for later today!

holy cow, that’s a TON of snow! i’m actually fairly jealous
hope you enjoy the walk and can’t wait for the giveaway later
DANG!!!! That is some snow! Time to get you back to Club Murphy-G!
I think our snow total was less than 40 inches in Reston but still blows reguardless. Enjoy another day off.
54.9 inches of snow is just RIDICULOUS!!! I cannot imagine.
Wow!! That’s a ton of snow!!
Holy moly! That is a ton of snow! I live in Alberta and usually that happens to us a least once before winter is over….still waiting.
The thought of 54.9 inches of snow makes me want to cry. And so do those icicles! Stay safe out there!!
OMG! WOW! We are supposed to get a foot, we got a dusting!
My neighbor skied to work this morning! I was jealous.
Unbelievable, Anne! And those icicles look deadly! Look forward to the post later today…
oh my gosh that is A LOT of snow! Crikey, if I’d just started reading your blog and you wrote you lived in the Artic, I really wouldn’t be surprised….
Crazy crazy cazy! I saw some of the biggest icicles of my life today. This snow is a mess. Hope you are staying warm!
Wow! I have never seen anything like that! Is that a normal winter for you? It must be really hard to make yourself go outside sometimes.
Ah right. I thought it’d make it pretty hard to get around!
