Happy Earth Day!
I celebrated by going for a run on my favorite trail in between studying (yet another Anatomy & Physiology test this afternoon… never ending!).
Per my new half marathon training plan, I was running three miles today, and I decided to try to make them as speedy as possible!
I ended up running 3 miles in 23:52, for an average pace of 7:57!!!
- Mile 1: 8:09
- Mile 2: 7:50
- Mile 3: 7:52
Woohoo!! This was HARD — I was huffing and puffing by the end but I was NOT going to slow down! What’s your typical running pace? Depending on the distance (and hills), I’m normally at around 8:30-8:45. In the fall I was around 9 — I’m getting faster!
I just refueled with one of my favorites — my Tuna Salad with a Healthy Twist on a whole wheat pita with some spinach:
And a big ole salad — classic and simple — just mixed greens, avocado, green pepper, and tomato, topped with a drizzle of olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, and some sea salt & cracked pepper. Sadly I’m out of feta The horror!!!!
