Hello friends! I’m back in North Carolina and thoroughly sick of airports and planes. But, I had a 3 hour layover in DC so my mom came to meet me for dinner! Yay
I had a fun last day of Thanksgiving vacay up in Pittsburgh — there were even some snow flurries! Brrrrr! It was FREEZING all day.
In honor of the snow, I made a batch of my Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal this morning for Matt and his parents!
They liked it Yay!
Along with it, we had some pretty grapefruit. Yum!
Then this afternoon, Matt and his buddies had their annual “Turkey Bowl”!
Matt wore a Santa Hat, obviously.
Janice (Matt’s friend Tom’s girlfriend) and I decided it was way too cold to sit and watch the boys play and headed off on a workout of our own!
Ready for action
We ran about 3 miles around town — it felt good to get a workout in! My legs were actually still kind of sore from an awesome workout at Matt’s parent’s YMCA on Thanksgiving day, though, haha.
Upon arrival back at Matt’s parent’s place, we discovered Matt’s dad had made an AWESOME homemade leftover Thanksgiving turkey soup!
Beautiful, right? It was full of turkey, veggies, mushrooms, and wild rice. Deeeelish and the perfect warm meal after our cold workouts
