Hello from Pittsburgh!
It was supposed to be super gross and rainy out all day today, but we got lucky! Apparently Matt and I brought the sun with us from NC
Matt, his parents, and I all headed into the city today to explore by bike! There are trails stretching along the river on both sides — so nice!
Matt’s parents brought their own bikes and Matt and I rented some at a place along the river.
We got mountain/hybrid bikes and it felt really weird to ride so upright again after getting used to our road bikes!
Hamming it up:
It was a really pretty ride! I especially loved all the bridges
Halfway through the ride (we were out for about 3 hours), we stopped for a picnic lunch feast!
YUM!
It made it up into the high 60’s today — perfect biking and picnic weather
Isn’t this mural we saw along our ride cool?
I loved this old building, too.
We just got back from a delicious dinner out and now it’s time to relax! Hope you’re enjoying your weekends

Looks like a perfect day, indeed. But I’m sure you wish you’d been able to rent road bikes! Love your new bike shirt, by the way! Happy Easter -
They had road bikes, but they were more expensive and since we were just out for a casual ride we decided comfy bikes would be more fun
That looks like so much fun. I would love to explore a city by bike. It looks like you had beautiful weather
Glad to see your Easter weekend is off to a good start. What a nice trail and what a great way to explore the area where the three rivers come together! Enjoy Easter Sunday!
Happy Easter everyone.
Happy Easter to you and the M’s!
That looks like an amazing day out !!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Happy EAster to you all
What a wonderful day!!! Happy Easter!!
That looks like a great way to see a city. I am in the market for a road bike right now! There are some days where I just WANT to ride a bike so badly. I love mimi-Larabars. They are the perfect size when you do not need a 200 cal commitment.
what a great day! I wish my family was more active like this!
Your picnic is too cute! So much scenery going on during your biking! What better way is there to see a city?
Compared to the forecase this weekend was definitely a win here in Pittsburgh. Which restaurant did you have dinner at?
It’s called Tamari – in Lawrenceville. SO GOOD!
