Mighty Leaf Iced Tea & Tea Pitcher Giveaway

Hello friends!

Are you guys as obsessed with iced tea in the summer as I am?

017

If you answered yes, then you’re in luck. Today I’m hosting a giveaway for a Mighty Leaf Summer Iced Tea Brewing Kit!

001

The summer brewing kit includes:

  • One box of each of the four new iced teas (Organic Black, Calypso Mango, Ginger Peach, and Sunburst Green Tea)
  • One 102 oz. Bodum Iced Tea Pitcher

003

002

As I mentioned yesterday, I gave my new iced tea pitcher a whirl already and it’s basically the coolest thing ever.

004

Just pop in your tea bags or loose leaf tea (I used one Organic Black and one Ginger Peach tea bag — delicious combination!) into the filter:

006

Add hot water and wait a few minutes for it to steep:

011

And then pop out the filter and throw away the tea bags!

013

So easy — I’m excited to use loose leaf tea in this filter, too. I refilled the filter with ice to help cool down the tea…

014

And then — voila! Delicious fresh brewed ice tea, ready to go. I like my tea unsweetened, and this had a nice hint of peach to it! I’m excited to try the other flavors now, too.

016

This is so good for me because I’ve been known to waste a lot of money on iced tea in the summer ;)

And now — enter to win your own Summer Brewing Kit!

Here’s how to enter to win — each option is an additional entry!

  1. Leave a comment telling me why you love iced tea.

  24. 24

What an awesome pitcher! I prefer iced tea over hot tea. Black tea is one of my favorites!

  25. 25

I grew up drinking homemade iced tea. However, I didn’t realize until I went to college that “sweet tea” was a thing. My mom always made the tea sweetened, and that’s just how I thought everyone drank it!

  26. 26

I love iced tea because its the perfect slightly caffeinated afternoon refreshment! Tea has so many great benefits, and I drink it all winter, but in the 90 degree heat wave we’ve been having, hot tea is not an option!

    P.S. I tweeted too!

  27. 27

There is always Iced Tea in our house! My husband can drink a pitcher in a day. Unfortunately, his pitcher is getting gross. It would be great to have a pichter that I can brew the loose leaf tea that I like and let him continue to brew his own special blend!

  28. 28

I’ve been obsessed with tea this summer, both hot and cold! Mighty leaf vanilla bean is a favourite.

  35. 35

I love iced tea because it is the quintessential summer drink. I have memories of my mom making sun tea on the screen porch when I was little. As an “adult” now, I appreciate the many varieties of iced tea and that it has no calories!

  36. 36

    I tweeted it too :)

And if I don’t stop buying my daily, very expensive venti iced tea at Starbucks, my spouse might leave me!

  40. 40

This looks pretty nice, and much simpler for making loose tea, iced tea! Now for tea…. I really do love iced tea. I have always wished that it could be considered a food, because if I could live off it, and it had everything my body needed to succeed – I would just drink iced tea all day, and possibly have some cheese – and I would be very happy… ;)

  41. 41

Iced tea reminds me of summers with my grandma! It is so refreshing on a hot day.

  42. 42

I love iced tea because it is so refreshing on a hot day!

  68. 68

I love fresh brewed ice tea! I normally make a ball jar full after work when I need a pep while I study for the CPA exam. I basically make the hot tea then pour it into a nice full glass of ice, YUM! I have a small Bodum loose leaf tea pot at work and use it daily!

  69. 69

    An Ode to Tea

    Oh Em Gee,
    How I love iced tea.
    Fresh and cool,
It tastes best by the pool
    On a hot summer day
Or after a day of play!

    :)

  70. 71

I love iced tea, its so cool and refreshing, so much better than soda for a hot day!

  71. 72

I love iced tea because it’s a fun summery drink to use as an alternative to an alcoholic beverage!

  72. 73

I’ve been hooked on hot tea for awhile now but last week I read an article in Runner’s World on exercising in hot weather. The guy in the article drank and Icee (or something similar) to lower his body temp before running. I’d rather drink a big glass of ICED TEA to cool down my body. The set-up you’re giving away looks awesome.

  73. 74

I follow you on Twitter and I tweeted about the contest.

  74. 75

Love Iced Tea but I have never been able to make it at home.

  75. 76

I love iced tea because hot tea and coffee are way to hot for this heat wave we’ve been experiencing!

  76. 77

  77. 78

  81. 82

    I Facebooked it too!

  84. 85
    Doreen G. says:

Growing up, we always had iced tea in the fridge…summer or winter. Didn’t matter the season. While I like water just fine, tea makes you feel like you’re doing something extra. Also, I was the one sent out to the yard to pinch off some mint to put in the tea. I’m happy to say that I finally have a nice little bit of mint growing in a pot on my patio in this Arizona desert…I’ve tried and failed numerous times. I love tea, it’s nostalgia and good for your health all at the same time!

  85. 86

Ack, I *have* to win this! I love iced tea … I prefer just regular, black, unsweetened tea with some fresh lemon. It’s so refreshing. I drink it year-round, but you’re right … there’s something about a cold glass of tea on a hot summer’s day.

  86. 87

I love iced tea because it’s such a delicious way to cool off in hot, hot Asheville weather!

  87. 88

I am a huge tea drinker and love it iced in the summer, especially since it is almost 100 degrees here this week!

  91. 92

I love iced tea because it makes me feel like I’m enjoying something special but without the calories and sugar of other summer drinks!

  92. 93

It totally reminds me of summer. :)

  93. 94

Besides water, iced tea is the most refreshing drink I can have in the summertime. Love it!

  102. 103

  108. 110

Tea reminds me of summers home as a kid. There was always a pitcher of sun tea outside. Plus, my grandparents live in Florida and the sweet tea down there just can’t be beat. I indulge on trips down there. At home, I lighten it up. The peach combo you made sounds right up my alley!

  109. 111

I’m from the South, it’s in my DNA to love iced tea!
It reminds me of my grandma’s sun tea too.

  110. 112

I love iced tea because you can combine it with so many flavors. I love to add in my own pureed fresh fruit so it really bumps up the fruity flavor. It makes it as satisfying as a cocktail without all the calories.

  139. 141

I LOVE ice tea because I live in Texas and this is our 18th day in a row to hit over 100 degrees…yikes!! But ice tea is so refreshing on days like these :)

  140. 142

Growing up, my household had iced tea running through our veins! My midwestern family is a big believer in iced tea! The problem, my mom puts a little bit of tea with her bucket of sugar. Sooo not healthy! So I’ve kinda stayed away from it as an adult, but would love to get back to my beloved tea roots!

  141. 143
    Lillian says:

I love Iced Tea because as much as I LOVE water, I need something else in the summer to quench my thirst. I have never been a coffee drinker so I have tried a ton of different teas in my lifetime and Mighty Leaf is absolutely one of my all time favorite tea companies!! Love this giveaway!!

  142. 144

I love iced teas because it stops me from drinking 10 glasses of iced coffee in the summer!

  145. 147

  146. 148

I love iced tea because it is super refreshing! A great alternative to water when I’m craving hydration+flavor :)

  147. 149

We love iced tea so much. We don’t drink a lot of juice and we never have pop in the house so iced tea is a great alternative. And plus, my husband works outside and to keep him from buying drinks I make a big batch of iced tea and he fills up his bottles in the morning and takes it with him. So cheap, easy and much healthier :)

  148. 150

Ice tea is my go-to drink of late because it is a MUCH healthier alternative to my worst vice, diet soda. Cutting out the DC has been the number one most difficult task for me in my quest to eat healthier. I bought those reusable tumblers and fill one with ice, make a cup of tea separately and pour it over the ice, but this is not practical when I’m in a rush (which is all the time).
P.S. I Stumbled you (my first, I’m so excited!)

  149. 151
    Melissa says:

Iced tea is my favorite drink, especially in the summer. I grew up with sun tea and have now become obessed with making it myself! I’d love to try this ice tea maker so I always have some on hand! Such a perfect, refreshing drink!

  150. 152
    Jennifer says:

I love iced tea because it an awesome way to get a little caffeine boost without calories, sugar or fake sugar. I like iced coffee but I have to put so much creamer/sugar to make it taste decent, so I am an iced tea convert. My husband makes us a big pitcher every morning, since this requires multiple dishes (don’t ask) this pitcher would be perfect!

  151. 153

p.s. I like you on facebook AND I posted the link to it on facebook! Do I get two more entries!?! I’ll even go outside and scream it from the mountaintops! I’ll create smoke signals for it! I’ll get a Mighty Leaf tattoo!! Just tell me what to do and i’ll do it for the love of all that’s holy!!!!! :)

  152. 155
    Abigail Gonzales says:

I love both hot and iced tea! I spent a year living with my grandmother while I was in college and learned to appreciate the beauty and serenity found in enjoying tea time! Reminds me how much I love her and how much I learned from staying with her. Good times!

Momma FF used to make the BEST sweet tea (of course it had about 2 c. of white sugar in it! lol), but my Dad and entire family loved it and drank it all the time. Now we got for healthier, less sugary options, but TEA will forever hold a special place in my heart thanks to the Momma. (:

  156. 159

I live in Louisiana and we grew up on “sweet tea”
I now drink it with honey and not sugar but it is definitely a staple in our cupboard. I then switched over to hot tea in our “cooler” months-LOVE all the different combinations of tea.
I like your site-get your e mail-like you on Facebook and commented and also stumbled you.

  157. 160

I love iced tea because it’s so refreshing! I like mine unsweetened and preferably an herbal or green tea over regular black tea. Perfect for summer!

I looooove iced tea in the summertime and hot tea in the wintertime, for obvious reasons! I also love all of the health benefits from drinking tea as well: good for skin & complexion, boost metabolism, calm nerves, full of antioxidants & vitamins, etc…

There is nothing better than an iced tea pick me up on a summer afternoon!! I find myself making excuses to have to run errands at work, just so I can stop and get a cold iced tea!! No sugar for me, I love it nice and strong. (It is my birthday on July 21, what a great birthday gift it would be:))

I love to drink ice tea in the summer. Its so refreshing. There’s nothing better to beat the heat!

  161. 164

I’m from the south so I’ve always really enjoyed sweet tea(sweeter than you can get most places around where I am now), but in college where tea is trendy I’ve slowly gotten more and more into tea culture. I drink tea all the time. I normally only drink hot tea at home right now because I have a 3 month old and brewing iced tea is slightly more time consuming. I do and have always liked iced better however, it’s the first thing I crave when the temperatures go above 80 degrees. There’s no other summer beverage as classic, refreshing and good for you.

I’m a southern girl, born and raised on awesome iced tea, so I love it! Although my dad and I were the weird ones who preferred ours unsweet :-) Haven’t made it in a long time though, and I would love to be able to brew up a pitcher for me and my dad to enjoy on our next visit.

  192. 195

Oh my gosh! I love tea in general, but on super hot days (which we DON’T seem to be getting much of here on the West Coast) iced tea (also unsweetened, which works beautifully for a Type 1 diabetic such as myself) is so unbelievably refreshing. And I’ve just started dabbling into making my own, which is real fun when combining flavours, but currently I’m doing one cup at a time, a jug though would be just well brilliant :D

  193. 196

I love ice tea because it is super refreshing and healthy.
