Primal Mud Run Race Recap

Yesterday, Matt and I ran the Primal Mud Run in nearby Selma, NC. 4.75 miles through the mud! Obviously the perfect way to spend one of our last days in NC. I love this picture — and yes, that’s barbed wire he’s crawling under Man, I love mud runs. They’re such a ridiculous blast (and an awesome workout, too — my arms/back/shoulders Continue Reading …

Tarheel 10 Miler Race Recap

As you all know, yesterday morning I ran the Tarheel 10 Miler! And man, I’m just going to propose it be changed to the “TarHILL 10 Miler” (I know, I’m hilarious), because good lord was it hard. I didn’t set a new PR, but that’s totally fine with me — I ended up deciding the morning of the race to run for fun instead of time. I Continue Reading …

Tobacco Road Half Marathon Race Recap

IMG_5340.jpg

I did it!!! I officially have a new half marathon PR (personal record): 1:49:37! And I couldn’t be more proud. I worked SO hard for that sub-1:50 time! This morning I ran a virtual 10k race! A few of my blogger friends set up the virtual 10k as a fun way to motivate others to stay active during the holidays. Great idea! I was clearly on board (and was happy that they reopened registration this morning for those of us that missed the original boat). Interested in joining in on the fun? Click Continue Reading …

Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon

Hello friends! As you all know, last night I ran the Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon. It was a blast! Official finish time: 1:59:04. Woop! My current half marathon PR (personal record) is 1:51:47 from the DC National Half Marathon in March, so this was definitely not a PR, but that wasn’t the aim yesterday! What was the aim? To have Continue Reading …

10k Mud Run – The Best Way to Start a Day

This morning, Matt and I ran 6.2 miles through mud with my grad school friends Elle and Lauren. It was awesome. Remember when I did a 5k mud run in April? It was a blast, so when I found the ad for today’s 10k mud run, I knew it needed to happen. Matt, Elle, and Lauren had heard me talk about the last run and were instantly on board. Continue Reading …

Buckner Mission Man Sprint Triathlon Recap!

Yesterday was me and Matt’s very first triathlon! It was really cool to actually do something that I’ve read/heard so much about. Triathlons involve some serious logistics — I was impressed with how well organized this race was! We did the Bucker Mission Man Triathlon in Burlington, NC. Burlington is about an hour away; we had a Continue Reading …
