Hello friends!

My family and I are continuing to have a blast here on vacation in Germany! Today’s adventure was some sightseeing in the form of beautiful castles. A teaser:

004

We’re off to dinner now, but stay tuned for a fun recap post in a couple hours! I got some great photos. 🙂

In the meantime… remember a couple weeks ago when I had you all help me pick a fANNEtastic logo for my new business cards?

logo

Well, now I need your help figuring out a tagline! As my loyal and awesome readers, I figure you guys know best why you are here reading my blog, and how that translates into a good slogan/tagline to attract others! Here are the business card proofs from the fabulously talented Bailey, my graphic designer:

BC_proof

Thoughts?? 🙂

The front of the cards will be white with my contact info, links, etc. I’m leaning towards the first version with the purple stripe across my name. The back of the cards will be the fun purple pattern you see with some sort of tagline.

Here’s what I thought of so far in terms of taglines:

“Come for the quick, easy, & healthy recipes. Stay for the awesomeness.”

“Come for the recipes, photography, fitness, & health tips. Stay for the awesomeness.”

I also debated simply: “Come for the food. Stay for the awesomeness.” or “Come for the food & fitness. Stay for the awesomeness”, since I want to make it clear that I write about fitness, life, etc. as well as just food/recipes.

What do you guys think? Any brilliant tagline ideas? I want something cute and fun that really sums up my blog… but I’m feeling stumped. Please help! 🙂

I like “Come for the recipes, photography, fitness, & health tips. Stay for the awesomeness.” But the idea of “Come for the food & fitness. Stay for the awesomeness” is good too :) x

I like the first one!!! I feel like the second one is two wordy... but I love how you have the little caption things on the first one around "quick easy & healthy" because it almost gives the reader an option of reading that part or skipping straight to recipes. It's more visually appealing.

I definitely like the front of the first one. And I like the 1st slogan best too because its not as "listy" as the 2nd one. If you want fitness thrown in, I would do what you mentioned about "come for the food & fitness" and not the extra.

Def just "Come for the food & fitness. Stay for the awesomeness." That other one is a mouthful and o think "photography" and "health tips" is unnecessary. I think that those count as "awesomeness," right? :)

I like the design of the one with the purple stripe across your name. For the slogan I think that the simple slogans work best and woudl definitley go for "Come for the food and fitness. Stay for the awesomeness". Anything more (both of the first two suggestions actually) and the front half of the slogan bogs down the second half.

I like the first one! It has a REALLY cute style! -and I DO come for the recipes..............the rest of what you mention IS the awesomeness! Besides, you delineate items on the front! Just my 2 cents worth! I love the card!

I like the first one as well. It sums it all up when you use Stay for the awesomeness.

I really am loving the design of your cards - I think that vertical business cards are the new thaaaang. To be honest, though, I think that both of the examples for the backside you have listed are a little long to be a real TAGline. It should be short and sweet, easy to get stuck in your head. So I think your latter examples are a little closer to the mark. I like "Come for the food. Stay for the awesomeness." I do feel that "Come for the food & fitness. Stay for the awesomeness." definitely works too. I also think that because your whole thing is fannetastic FOOD, I think the whole food thing is pretty clear already, so you could say like, "Come for health. Stay for awesomeness." or something like that, too. All very cool, Anne! I feel privileged to be one of the few here to know the last name lurking behind the blur... bwahaha!

I think “Come for the recipes, photography, fitness, & health tips. Stay for the awesomeness" is a bit too long and doesn't roll off the tongue as easily. I like the way the first option sounds but it only talks about food.. I think the food + fitness combo would work out perfectly!

Oooh, I know where you were--Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein! I went there on my honeymoon last year! Loved Neuschwanstein. I like--“Come for the recipes, photography, fitness, & health tips. Stay for the awesomeness.”

I agree with what others are saying- keep it short and sweet. "Stay for the Awesomeness" is a cute line though. How about something under the general "health" label- "Sharing healthy living 24/7" or "Awesome healthy living tips"... bah, you get the general idea- I'm not that creative. :)

I like the come for the food & fitness. The longer one is definitely too wordy and starts to lean away from becoming a "tag line", but your blog is more than just recipes, of course!

I like "come for the food & fitness" - it's short, sweet, and descriptive. The second proof is just a wee bit long, and sounds a bit overworked. Whatever way you go though, I'm still jealous of your German castle touring! Have fun!

Sorry Anne, but I think the taglines are a little lame. I do this kind of thing for a living, so I'd suggest that if you want to stick with the "come for the... stay for the..." theme, try using a little alliteration, such as "Come for the food and fitness, stay for the fun." Then you can have "food," "fitness" and "fun" each stand out with with a different font or color from the rest of the text, so your eyes mainly see those three words with a quick glance.

I like the simplicity of "Come for the food and fitness. Stay for the awesomeness." I think you don't have to include everything you do or write about (photography, running, baking, etc) in your tagline. Have fun in Germany! When my friend and I traveled to Europe a few years ago, Berlin was a city I was just amazed at how much I loved. There is so much history, yet so much that is new and catered to young people. The bike tours were so fun.

Hmmm... I get the sentiment you're going for, but the point of a tagline/slogan is to be short and catchy, so people remember it. Think about famous slogans - "just do it" "good to the last drop" etc. These are kind of... well they don't roll off your tongue very well. In keeping with the general theme, my recommendation is "Come for the healthy, stay for the awesome".

I agree with DCRunner (comment 18). I think 'awesomeness' sounds a little juvenile, to be honest. I like DCRunner's “Come for the food and fitness, stay for the fun.” idea better. Great blog, anyway! I LOVE the colors you plan on using the cards.
