On Vacation – See You in a Couple Weeks!

Hi friends – Matt and I are heading overseas this evening for our big summer vacation to celebrate his completion of graduate school! While we’re gone, I’ll be taking a true vacation and won’t be posting here on the blog until I’m back in a couple weeks. I will be posting photos occasionally on Instagram, though, if you want to follow the action over there. 🙂 And of course I’ll share some recaps of our adventures once I’m back, too!

As I mentioned in my previous post, we will be spending most of the trip in Malta (Mellieha and Sliema) scuba diving and exploring with friends. We also have an overnight layover on either end of the trip in Istanbul, which should be fantastic, if brief. Thank you SO much to those who shared recommendations for either Istanbul or Malta in my previous post – and if you have any more, please continue to share them! 🙂 We’ll only have an evening and morning in Istanbul this weekend and an afternoon/evening/morning there on our return trip, so we’re hoping to just make it to a couple of the “must see” spots.

Matt and I get back to the U.S. on the evening of September 4th, and I should be back in action on the blog by Monday, September 7th, if not sooner. Thank you for your patience and for sticking with me during this break! 🙂

In the meantime, here are some of my favorite recipes (click on the photos to be taken to the recipes) and health-inspired posts (scroll down to see those after the recipes) to keep you busy while I’m gone. Enjoy, and see you in a couple weeks, my friends! I’ll miss you guys!

Have a great vacation! I have just discovered your blog thanks to The Runner Beans blog and I will try to catch up on some reading of it while you are on vacation. Malta is one of the places I would love to visit. The language is so interesting - it's like a mix of Italian and Arabic! Enjoy!!
