Good morning my friends! First things first – thank you to everyone who entered my Reebok shirt giveaway! I have randomly selected two winners using a contest plugin and sent their contact info to Reebok. So if you’re one of the winners, you’ll be hearing from them! :)

The weather was stunning this morning – cool and sunny (where was that on Saturday morning in Annapolis?!), so I headed out for my first run since the half marathon Saturday – a casual 3.5 mile run/walk in my cute ZOOMA race shirt. I wasn’t really feeling a serious run – it just felt great to be outside in the beautiful weather!


When I came home, I cooled down with some stretching courtesy of a cool fitness video website called FitnessGlo.


I was given a complimentary 90 day trial to FitnessGlo via FitFluential to test out the site and share my thoughts with you guys. I’ll also be giving you a chance to win your own FitnessGlo membership – see the end of this post for details!

I’ve really been enjoying my trial with FitnessGlo! The site was created for women by women; the goal is that no matter how busy you are, you can still sneak in one of their workouts during the day without needing to leave home (or your office!). The video classes vary in duration and can easily be combined with other classes to create longer workouts if necessary. I love that they let you search by time – sometimes all you have time for is 10 minutes, right? And sometimes you might want to go for 45!


They also let you search by style, teacher (I recognized some of the names on there, like Ilyse Baker – remember when I took a cool cardio dance class from her at Reebok headquarters?), and level, which is great.

As you can see, there are a ton of great options on the site. In addition to just doing random classes when you feel like it, they offer specific programs you can follow. Love this idea!


I’ve been sticking to just doing random classes when I’m in the mood so far; FitnessGlo actually came in really handy when we were traveling in Italy! Our hotel in Rome had wireless internet so I fired up a few of the videos in the morning to get the blood pumping before sightseeing all day. (More on our Italy travels to come next, by the way)!


So far, I’ve been loving the stretching videos because I won’t really do stretching on my own unless I have someone telling me what to do. :) And the HIIT and Tabata workouts they offer are awesome, too – they will really get you sweating!


The only thing I’d love to see the website add is an option to search by equipment – when we were in Rome I obviously didn’t have any weights with me and I would have loved to just sort by which workouts didn’t require any equipment!

    I know that my PCOS is even worse than normal because I’ve gained 28 pounds back from my original 80 pound loss. I have 56 pounds to lose total (at this point).     You answered my question that I had after reading Katy Widrick’s review – this can be used in Europe! As I don’t know what my gym situation will be when I first move there this may be a GREAT option for me to rely on in addition to running.

      I would love to use this in my cross training workout routine- as I am training for my half in sept. and nov.
      I currently use many of your receipes For “fueling” my days prior to the gym or hitting the road. I love the quinoa bars and 5 min peanut butter bars. I keep in my freezer And am so good to go with energy and the distance.

    I’d really love to win this giveaway. I’ve recently lost some weight due to changes in diet (switched to a plant based diet) and have been jogging and taking my dog on longer walks, BUT I know I need to do more / different things. This would be great because I could do some weight training, stretching, and also try out some dance class type exercizes that I would love to try but am too intimated to go to an actual class.

    First…I think it is great because if you are traveling during the have no excuse! I am going to NOLA this summer and the cute little hotel in the French Quarter doesn’t have a gym. I plan on running but I need some addtitional excerise and this would be PERFECT!!
    Secondly…it will be great to mix up my morning workouts with something else/new. I try and get a run in (about 2mi) in the morning, so adding this will help with reaching my goal!
