Easy Broccoli Pesto Pasta

Ingredients You'll Need:

• Pasta (I prefer whole wheat) • Broccoli • Chickpeas (canned) • For the pesto: fresh basil, garlic, grated parmesan, walnuts, olive oil, salt & pepper

Step 1

Combine pesto sauce ingredients in a food processor.

Step 2

Blend until smooth.

Step 3

Cook pasta of choice (I like whole wheat farfalle). Par-cook broccoli in the microwave.

Step 4

Cook pesto with 1/2 cup pasta water until reduced. Add chickpeas & broccoli. Cook 2 more minutes.

Step 5

Add cooked pasta & toss to coat.
