Hi from San Diego! As you already know from Instagram, Matt and I flew out here on Friday with some family for my cousin’s wedding!

The wedding took place on Saturday at the absolutely gorgeous Mount Woodson Castle. Everything was outside, which was perfect given that the weather is always fabulous in San Diego. 🙂

Loved all the Pinterest-worthy touches, too. 🙂

The ceremony was stunning with the light peeking through the trees! We had a blast celebrating my cousin Spencer and his beautiful bride Michelle. Congratulations again, you two!

As for the rest of the weekend, we enjoyed some yummy seafood…

And some awesome tacos (at Puesto in La Jolla)…

And took advantage of the stunning weather!

We did a short hike/run both weekend mornings, and I have to say – it was SO nice to not worry about getting in a long run! (See also: Marine Corps Marathon Training Reflections blog post from yesterday in case you missed it!) I was like: “Wow, it’s so nice to finish a run and feel energized and not exhausted.” Matt was like: “Um, welcome back to normal exercise…” Lol.

On Friday afternoon, Matt and I also took advantage of the lovely weather and headed over to nearby Torrey Pines for a little stroll!

I love Torrey Pines – I hiked here a couple years ago when having a reunion with grad school friends (recap: San Diego Weekend).

It was just as gorgeous as I remembered! 🙂

Matt flew back to DC yesterday and I’m sticking around San Diego until Friday morning for part work, part play! The work (but fun work) kicked off yesterday – here’s a sneak preview.

Have a great day – and don’t forget to vote! (I voted absentee a few weeks ago!)

Have you ever been to San Diego? Anything I can’t miss in terms of food or outdoorsy fun?

Hi Anne, I live in San Diego and one of my favorite places to eat is Peohe's in Coronado, both for the food and the ocean view. If you haven't been to Coronado it is also a beautiful place to walk around. Have fun!
