Crunch Time

Morning! I’m in the midst of crunch time over here trying to finish up all our end of semester assignments. Yesterday I forced myself to focus and spent a solid 7 hours straight working on these module worksheets we have due today — they are prep for our clinical internship. I broke for lunch around 11, but unfortunately my laptop stayed with me so I could keep the productivity going.

I enjoyed my leftovers from the delicious lunch at Irregardless in Raleigh yesterday!

To bulk up the leftovers, I put them on top of some salad greens and added some sprouts and avocado to the mix as well. Yum!

Not as pretty as yesterday, but just as good. 🙂

On the side, I had some bread and delicious NC strawberries from the farmer’s market yesterday. In season strawberries are seriously one of life’s greatest pleasures.

My eyes were a bit bigger than my stomach for this lunch; I ended up eating the bread and strawberries but only about half of the massive salad. The rest was consumed as an afternoon snack!

I worked from about 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. in various locations on our couch, at my perch, and out on our porch — I get so restless it helps me to focus if I move locations and switch back and forth from sitting to standing every hour or so. 🙂

During lunch, when I was out on the porch, a thunderstorm rolled through. It was actually quite cozy to sit out there and watch it — I love storms.

By 3 p.m. I finally finished the modules we have due today for school — I still have one big one left to do for my actual hospital this summer, but I can work on that once we’re up in DC. I spent the rest of the afternoon getting some other tasks done and then running errands — we have been donating so much stuff to Goodwill, it’s crazy — must get rid of as much as we can before moving! Around 6 I headed out the door for a walk/jog, since the weather had gotten really nice by then.

Speaking of jogging — Matt and I are headed out for a workout! I have another busy day ahead — a few hours of biochem studying with my classmate Maria, plus a group project meeting this afternoon — we have a LOT to do but I’m hoping we can finish it all today and submit the assignment. Then all I’ll have left is the biochem exam Tuesday!

Have a nice Friday, friends!

That's great that you are getting as much done as possible to have free time later. I'm like you, I simply love a good thunderstorm.

Well, sadly it's not to have free time later - it's so we have time to pack and move! So much to do this week!
