Garmisch! My Dad is retired Canadian military and he was stationed in Germany for close to eight years, six of which I spent there. We went to Garmisch once -- and I barely remember it, except that I had hot chocolate in a cafe with my Mum! :-) Oh I miss those mountains though. Skiing is so wonderful in Europe - especially in Austria!

Time to take some nice landscape shots! Close up your aperture to like, f/22 and slow down your shutter speed. Set the camera on a tripod (or table) and let 'er rip!

Oh, and go as wide as possible! Did you bring your lens that can zoom out to 17mm?

Sadly I just brought my new 50mm - sucks that I can't zoom, but it's nice that it's so much lighter and easier to carry - plus better in dim lighting!
