Good morning!

The New Harvest weekend kicked off to a great start last night!

003

So, what the heck is New Harvest, you might ask? New Harvest is a new vegetarian supplement alternative to fish oil, providing Omega-3s without the lead, mercury, and PCB toxins that can often appear in fish. Interesting, right? It will be cool to learn more about it today.

There are 8 bloggers in attendance and we had a blast getting to know one another last night! The guest list:

  • Tanya — I Ate A Pie
  • Maridel — Vital Juice
  • Monica — Run, Eat, Repeat
  • Christine — No Meat Athlete
  • Anne-Marie — This Mama Cooks
  • Jenna — Eat, Live, Run
  • Tina — Carrots ‘N’ Cake

Also in attendance is an RD named Jenna Bell, who is one of the New Harvest spokespersons and will be giving a speech this morning. It was fun talking to her about RD-related things last night 🙂

New Harvest treated the 9 of us to dinner in our hotel’s restaurant, Square 1682.

It was delicious and I really enjoyed getting to know the other bloggers I hadn’t already met.

I’ll leave you with a photo collage of our meal — we all ordered a bunch of things and shared!

Divine. Unfortunately I had to lay off the wine for the most part though — don’t want to dehydrate myself before my first half marathon Sunday morning!

I’ll be back later to let you know all about our day!

Oh OK, see I've been thinking New Harvest was a bread all along, and I was wondering what the heck all this talk of fish oil was

That is, indeed, an awesome dinner -- and what looks like a neat gathering for an interesting purpose. Smart to lay off the wine, too, given the half marathon tomorrow! Enjoy (and blog)!
