Hi friends! I’m on my way home after a whirlwind of a weekend down in Nashville, TN for FNCE, the annual Registered Dietitian conference and expo. Before I get into a recap of the conference happenings, a quick recap of my pre-FNCE adventures! I arrived in town early and stayed overnight on Friday with my running blogger friend Mary, who moved from DC to Nashville last year (sadness). We used to run together all the time when she lived in DC, so our first order of business on Saturday was obviously a run! 🙂

We were up early to sneak in the run before I headed downtown to check in at my hotel and kick off the conference-related events. It was a cold and gray morning, but quite nice for running. 🙂

Mary took me on one of her favorite out and back routes through Shelby Bottoms Greenway in East Nashville. It was beautiful!

We had a blast chatting and catching up – I miss having her as a weekly running buddy! Before we knew it, 6 miles were done. Great way to start the day! I was especially happy to get in a solid run given that the next few days would be jam packed with conference-ing!

Post-run, Mary was nice enough to whip us up a feast back at her place. We were originally planning to go out for brunch, but everywhere had a long wait and we were short on time because I had to get to a conference event. Eating at her place was really nice anyway since the rest of the trip I knew I would be eating out all my meals!

We enjoyed scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, and some Cabot sharp cheddar, topped with avocado. Plus bacon, a fruit salad, and some of Mary’s homemade bread! Two thumbs up.

Thanks again for having me, Mary! Your unofficial B&B rocked. 😉

Stay tuned – I’ll be back tomorrow with a full recap of my FNCE conference adventures!

Have you ever been to Nashville? When I was little, my family and I went to Opryland back when it was an amusement park and not a shopping mall!

My in-laws live just south of Nashville (~20 min) and I absolutely love the city! Hopefully one day my husband and I will relocate to the area. It has grown so much even in the last 5-10 years. I hope you enjoyed your time there :)

I live in Nashville! I grew up here and moved back after college. Saturday morning was pretty chilly, but today it's back up to the 80s. I'm looking forward to reading your next Nashville post!

If those trees weren't on the banks in the bridge pic you could probably see my house! The Greenway here is so pretty. Glad you enjoyed it.

I can't wait to hear about your talk on Tuesday! Will you be able to share anything about it, or was there any recording? (PS - I'm about to graduate from the MPH/RD program @ UNC - would love to chat with you!))

I'll share a little about it! I don't think there was a recording but I'm not sure -- I would check the FNCE website to see if they offer session recordings. And yay UNC - that's awesome! Would love to chat -- feel free to email me anytime.

So apparently there is a recording of the session! It's not online yet, but when it is, it will be here: http://www.starlibraries.com/fnce/session/2095/Mastering-Your-Domain-Using-Technology-to-Grow-Your-Business-Online

I live in Nashville, so seeing this post was a big surprise! I'm also a grad student at Vanderbilt so I saw all their posts about the conference and I had no clue what it was!
