Get ready. This is going to blow your mind. 4 Ingredient Quinoa Salad – you officially have no more excuses for eating fast food for dinner.
4 Ingredient Quinoa Salad
In a bowl, mix together:
- Cooked quinoa
- Salsa
- Hummus (any flavor)
- Chickpeas (canned – drained and rinsed)
And that’s it. Seriously! The proportions are up to you, but I used 1 cup of dry quinoa, cooked with water according to the package, 1 can of chickpeas, about 1 cup of salsa, and about 1/2 cup of hummus. I also added on some cracked pepper to taste.
Want to mix it up? Fun add-ins for this recipe are:
- Avocado
- Wilted or fresh arugula or baby spinach
- Chopped peppers
- A squirt of lemon juice
- A few shakes of cumin (amps up the Mexican theme)
Told you it was easy. I know hummus and salsa sounds like a weird combination, but I promise it’s delicious.

One of the main reasons I’m obsessed with quinoa – simplicity! I usually just mix mine with a veggie and a bean and top with balsamic. So good!
