A Photo Walking Tour of Boston

Hello from Boston!

I can’t believe how quickly the Healthy Living Summit flew by! We ended this morning with a casual 5k run and now I’m off to spend the rest of the day with my college BFFs Kris and Lu. It’s a gorgeous day here in the north east and I’m excited to enjoy it! I fly back to DC late tonight and start my final dietetic internship bright and early tomorrow morning. More details on that to come!

On Friday afternoon, the conference had an informal “mini mingle” photography walking session — it was a nice day (although a little hot) and it was fun to wander around the city taking some pictures.

Here I am with Gretchen and Ashley. 🙂

Inspired by Gretchen, who led a photography session here at the conference on Saturday and co-led the walking tour, I actually used my DSLR in AV mode (e.g. where you have to change the settings yourself) instead of in auto no flash. Gretchen, are you proud of me?? I think I did pretty well. 🙂

I spent most of the walk chatting with a new friend, Min, who is super sweet. She’s in school to be an RD so we had a lot to talk about, and she’d emailed me in the past so it was fun to meet in person. 🙂

We made it down to Fenway Park before heading back.

We got a liiiiiittle lost on the way back and the walk turned into a slightly epic journey, but the company was lovely so I couldn’t complain. 🙂

Pretty nice way to spend a Friday afternoon!

I’ll be back tomorrow to share more of the actual conference. For now — time to play with the college buddies! Have a happy Sunday, everyone!

Anne, I'm so glad that I went on this epic journey with you guys! How else would I have had you all to myself?!! lol..ok that sounds a lil' creepy. But seriously! I just loved talking with you. Hope you had fun with your college friend yesterday. Good luck today! Can't wait to hear about all the details. Oh and your pictures turned out great! I imitated you and took all my pictures alongside you...but they certainly did not turn out like this. Were we at the same place? Min in action? hmm...don't know about that..

Haha not creepy at all. I'm so glad we had the chance to chat more in depth than we would have during the rest of the weekend! I hope you had fun in Boston - did you get that lobster roll? :)

I did! The place we were going to eat at was really busy so we went to an oyster bar not too far from it. The oysters were amazing, and I tried their infamous lobster sliders..somewhat similar right? NOT! But still delish! Hope you get a chance to relax a bit today, Anne!

I'm pretty sure the entire photo-walk got lost at some point on the walk. We were ahead of the group and had no clue where we were going.
