Good morning and happy Friday! I’m packing up and getting ready to fly off to Boston for the Healthy Living Summit! This is the 4th year of the summit and actually the 4th year I’ve attended, too — it was the very first blog conference I ever went to back in 2009.

This year, I’ll be attending the summit as a speaker — I’m on a panel on Saturday with some fellow bloggers as well as a couple brand representatives to talk a little about working with brands as a blogger. We’ll be answering questions like, What are the tools that bloggers should have in order to be considered a good fit for a company?  What are the things companies look for when seeking out potential bloggers? How much time should you spend on a review post and what things should be included that benefit the company and your readers? We’ll also talk about maintaining credibility when working with brands, compensation, and we’ll be accepting questions from the audience as well. Our session is from 11:35 — 12:20 and if you’re coming to HLS this year, I’d love to see you there! You can also follow along at home via Twitter — we’ll be using the hash tag #HLSbrandtalk.

Last year, the summit was held in Philadelphia — check out my recap to see what we got into!

And in 2010, the summit was held in Chicago. LOVE that city — we all had a blast exploring. I attended 2010’s summit as a speaker as well, hosting a panel on the ups and downs of blogging. It was fun — more details in my recap post below!

No recap from 2009’s original summit in Boston because it was actually right before I started my blog! I had a lot of friends in Boston and had become good friends with a couple of the organizers so I decided to go and use it as a way to motivate myself to finally start a blog, since I’d been wanting to for awhile. Clearly it worked!

It will be fun to be back in Boston again this year — I love that city, especially in summer. 🙂

After the conference is over on Sunday morning, I’m spending the rest of the day with two of my college BFFs who live in the Boston area. Can’t wait to see them, too!

With all this traveling I’ve done lately, I’ve been using a lot of the tricks in my “How to stay healthy while traveling” post — staying active and planning snacks ahead are key for me, while of course also allowing for some indulgences along the way. Check out the post for more tips!

Staying healthy while traveling is always easier when you’re at a conference full of health/fitness bloggers also interested in going running or eating healthy food, though. 🙂 We have all sorts of workouts planned for this weekend already!

Off to Boston I go! Who all is coming to HLS this year? Please say hello if you see me! 🙂

Have a great time. I remember one year you were on a panel as well. Your more experienced this time. Can't wait to hear how it turned out. Try to let us hear you speak like you did one time before. Enjoyed it.
