Jingle Ready(ish)

My friend Sokphal and I are running the Jingle All the Way 15k (that's 9.3 miles) together this coming weekend - eeek! I'm nervous because I haven't run more than 7 miles since... April 2017, I think, when I did the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler while early in pregnancy. I figure I can take it nice and slow and walk a little if I need to... we'll see! Continue Reading …

We did one of my absolute favorite routes that takes us on a lot of beautiful wooded roads. Love listening to the sounds of the creek as we run.  Continue Reading …

Our little one is officially 2 years old as of yesterday! How time flies.  We drove up to Sewickley, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) on Saturday to spend a week with Matt's family for the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was fun to celebrate Riese's birthday with them yesterday, too! Continue Reading …

Soup-y

We've been enjoying lots of soup over here this week - I really love a steaming bowl of soup on cold winter-y days.  This one had chicken (sprinkled with salt and pepper and seared in a separate pan beforehand and then added to the soup - gives it better flavor!), a ton of veggies (onion, celery, cauliflower, kale), and chickpeas. I used Continue Reading …
