It’s too bad it’s so ugly here.

035

I know. It’s okay to hate me. We went on an amazing hike this morning — more on that in a second!

As you guys know, I’m here for the Fitness & Health Blogger’s Conference this weekend! Attune Foods is sponsoring my attendance — a big thank you to them for sending me out here! If you’re here this weekend, please come find me for free Attune Foods product coupons and probiotic chocolate bars. This is what I look like today 😉

030

Anyway! I arrived in Denver around 5:30 last night. First stop? Dinner with my girl Heather!

011

Heather and I both used to live in D.C. at the same time and became running buddies. She lives out here in Denver now and I miss her!

She picked me up at the airport and invited me to have dinner at her place last night. Yay 🙂 On the menu? Black Bean Enchiladas! Stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, onions, and a spicy green chili sauce.

012

SO good! Totally easy, too. I need to recreate these at home 🙂

017

014

Mmmmmm…

020

Topped with tomatoes and salsa. Definitely went back for seconds!

022

Thanks again for feeding me and carting me around, Heather 🙂

—

I crashed hard last night — I needed to get a good night’s rest because the conference officially kicked off this morning here in Boulder with a beautiful hike with Fit Health Into Life!

034

Seriously… why don’t I live in Colorado?! It’s so awesome here.

055

(Above with new friends Sara, Katie, and Heather!)

We had a small group for the hike (about 8 or 9 of us) since many of the bloggers weren’t in town until later this morning. It was a nice opportunity to get to know some new friends before the real conference starts! They took us hiking right in Boulder at a place called Chautauqua.

037

I want this place to be in my backyard.

The hike started at 8 a.m. and we had AMAZING weather — high 70s and super sunny, and no humidity of course.

038

We hiked for about 2.5 hours — most of it straight uphill or downhill! It was tough, especially given the altitude (I was totally gasping for breath when I shouldn’t have been, ha).

040 043 044

After some serious huffing and puffing, we were rewarded with amazing views!

045

What a great way to start the day, huh? 🙂

053

Here I am with my new friend Katie, who I hiked with most of the way and had a great time getting to know — she lives here in Boulder — so jealous!

048

And with my roomie for the weekend, Theodora!

050

Tina was supposed to be our third roomie, but she’s sick and couldn’t come 🙁 We miss you, Tina!

051

Hamming it up:

047

Heh.

Thanks for an amazing morning, Fit Health Into Life! 🙂

049

Hope you guys are having a great Friday — I’ll be later with more conference fun!

I had no idea Boulder was so beautiful! I'm a little jealous, especially since it's grey and drizzling here.

Do you think people in Colorado are always telling someone to "Take a hike!"? There's gotta be a Tshirt somewhere...

Boulder is amazingggggg! I have family in CO and we visit Chautauqua every time we're out there. It's truly a natural wonder (dorky, but fact!). That, and I am Katie's #1 fan :)

I LOVE Boulder! What an amazing place! Have you been down to the Pearl Street Mall yet? You would seriously fit right in in Colorado! It seriously is the most beautiful state, in my opinion.

Reason #8976 to move to Boulder: Chautauqua IS your backyard. Reason #8977: You already have a (ridiculously awesome, obviously) hiking buddy. So. Why aren't you staying permanently, again...? ;)

That looks fantastic. You have more fun, Anne! What a neat trip. And I thought the triathlon outfit was awesome, by the way (forgot to reply to it). Enjoy!
