Oh my goodness!!

032

Hehe! I made a new friend this morning 🙂

036

SO CUTE!! The calf didn’t have teeth yet, so instead of nibbling the food out of my hands it just started sucking on them! 🙂 It drew my entire hand into its mouth, lol!

033

I was cracking up. Their tongues are like sandpaper 🙂

And then… I learned how to MILK A COW!!!

010

I even got some milk to come out! 🙂

We were at farm #4 bright and early this morning for the fun. I’ll be featuring them in a special post later this week as well, with more details about cow milking in particular!

042

043

And then… we went to CANADA!

047

We were literally a mile from the border, so clearly I requested we go so I can say I’ve been to Canada now 😉

046

Tina and I were pretty pumped 😉

050

We just checked out of our beautiful bed and breakfast and are now back on the road — New Hampshire or bust!

While in Vermont, we stayed at the Tabor House Inn, which was awesome. Highly recommended if you are in the area! I’ll be doing a post later this week all about the food we had there (including some recipes!), but for now — pictures of the inn 🙂

This bird reminds me of Florida! 🙂

023

I’m in love with this porch that was off my room (photos of my beautiful room are in this post!):

024

The inn is open year round, and they also host weddings. Apparently every weekend the rest of the summer is booked with one! I can see why — the house is gorgeous and it has such a beautiful view of the lake!

003

Plus — guess what? The owner’s daughter was just crowned Miss Vermont three weeks ago, and will be competing in the Miss America pageant in January! How awesome!

077

We’re all rooting for her, now 🙂 Especially since she was sweet enough to put on her crown and sash for us!

Gotta run — we are just pulling into the Ben & Jerry’s factory! Yesssss. On the docket this afternoon is another organic dairy farm, and then an organic veggie farm that offers a CSA (community supported agriculture). Cool!

Stay tuned 🙂

I live in New Hampshire, so it is so cool for me to see/read about things on blogs that I actually have been to. There aren't too many New England/New Hampshire bloggers so this is interesting for me :)

It looks like you're having a blast on the Barnstorming Tour! The last (and only) time I milked a cow was when I visited a petting farm in pre-school. :-) I love B&B's! So quaint and cute!

I love your level of excitment to have been to Canada now lol. I knew about Miss Vermont from Christina's blog but I didn't realize that meant she would be part of the upcoming Miss America. That is super exciting for her. Yeah Miss Vermont. Looks like you had a blast!
