Morning!

Things are starting to amp up over here for the wedding festivities – 2 days to go! On the agenda today is brunch with Matt’s parents, getting my hair highlighted, a final dress fitting (there were a couple more things that needed to be done when I went on Sunday… fingers crossed it’s ready now), and then making our welcome gift bags! Tonight we have plans for a big family dinner out.

I had a nice day yesterday – spent most of the day working on the computer doing emails, blog stuff, wedding stuff, etc., but I took a break at lunchtime and headed downtown to meet one of my bridesmaids, Turner, for lunch!

It was a lovely day to be downtown – beautiful weather. We hit up Protein Bar, which is a new favorite! All sorts of healthy and creative options.

I ended up getting a huge vegan salad – packed with all sorts of veggies, tofu, pumpkin seeds, chickpeas, and a creamy chia dressing. Very good!

We enjoyed this artwork while we ate. 🙂

I spent the rest of the day doing a little more wedding stuff, headed downtown to meet my friend Kathleen for a walk, and then Matt and I hit up Crossfit Dupont for a workout!

I rocked a fun new shirt that Reebok sent me last week. Love it! Made me feel more hardcore. 😉

It was a good workout – we practiced bench presses and then did a short workout with 5 rounds of 30 seconds of pull ups (I did mine jumping up from a stool) and 30 seconds of burpees. Short and sweet!

Matt and I picked up some Whole Foods hot bar for dinner since our fridge is empty (no point in refilling it since we’re leaving on Friday!) – I forgot to get a photo, but I did get a photo of dessert, which was way more interesting anyway. 🙂

As part of the DailyBuzz Food Tastemaker program with Ghirardelli Intense Dark™, I was sent a bunch of fun dark chocolate varieties to test out. I’m not a huge milk chocolate fan but I love me some super dark chocolate. It’s such a perfect way to end a meal!

Matt and I tried out the toffee interlude and the sea salt soiree last night. Just a little taste of each was perfect for my after dinner sweet craving! Our favorite was the sea salt soiree, but both were great. 🙂

I also had a tiny nibble of this cabernet matinee – can’t WAIT to have this paired with red wine next time! It would go so well together. Maybe once the wedding is over we’ll have friends over for a wine and chocolate night!

Thanks, Ghirardelli, for giving us the perfect post-dinner treat. 🙂

Time to get started with the day – have a great Thursday, everyone!

one cup quinoa = 8g protein one egg = 6g protein Are they using mini eggs in their calculations? Quinoa is great but that sign is pretty deceiving.

I have no idea :) Maybe they sneakily used dry quinoa in their calculations?

Good morning, Anne. I hope you are well today. I was just wondering, I have a Macy's ad running under your banner. Is that suppose to be there??

Never mind. I just refreshed the page and the ad is gone. I get a lot of these weird ads popping up on your page. Once I had an eat more banana's pop up. Oh, well.

I switched advertisers so I have some more ads around - I know it doesn't look as pretty but sadly I've got to pay back my grad school loans somehow!
