Hi friends! Thank you for the well wishes on my on the mend post! Appreciate the love. 🙂 I’m so happy I’m feeling better today, because I was up early this morning to head to the airport. I’m now up north for a press trip at Canyon Ranch’s Lenox, MA location! I’m excited for a weekend of healthy food (I own the Canyon Ranch Cookbook and it’s amazing) and active outdoorsy adventures. You can see what I’m up to on Instagram – and I’ll share more details in a recap on Monday.

I was back to normal work hours yesterday, catching up on emails and other work from earlier this week. I also enjoyed a lunch date with my long lost workout buddy Chelsea! Chelsea had to get surgery on her foot a couple weeks ago (to correct something she was born with that was starting to cause her pain recently), so she’s out of commission for awhile, sadly. So until we can work out together again, lunch dates it is! 🙂 We hit up Sweetgreen – I was originally thinking soup but once we got there a salad actually sounded appealing. Felt good to eat something that wasn’t saltines and soup. 😉

Chelsea has a pretty sweet “peg leg,” as she calls it, to get around until she can put weight on her foot again – it’s basically a fancy version of crutches that leaves you hands free. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Chelsea!

In other news, I hope those of you joining me and Gina for the Winter Shape Up are ready to go! The challenge officially starts on Monday, but I’m sharing the meal plan for next week today so that you can spend the weekend grocery shopping and prepping.

Click here for the main Winter Shape Up landing page, which explains all the details about the challenge, how to participate, and has a link to the week 1 meal plan. Any questions or concerns, let me know!

Are those dried cranberries in the salad? I love putting them in my salads for a little pop of sweetness. I'm glad your feeling better - the flu is never fun.

A Canyon Ranch girls weekend is definitely on my wish list or "bucket list" of sorts! You'll have to share your thoughts, especially for the price. I can't wait to hear Gina's thoughts on the MA location vs AZ. I've never seen an awesome peg leg thing like that one - best wishes to her!

ENJOY Canyon Ranch!! Everyone I know who's gone said it was the most amazing experience and they all got a real ""restart". Also - I love the crutches alternative, do you like it a lot better? I saw a guy zipping around on one of these downtown yesterday! Jill Latest Post: Working Out and Not Seeing Results? How Overtraining Can Stall Fitness and Weightloss

Ooh I love SweetGreen! Glad there's a location in Boston as well :) And wishing a speedy recovery to Chelsea! I wish I had that "peg leg" when I had to get ankle surgery. That would've made my life so much easier.

Wow, that 'peg leg' things looks like a great alternative to crutches if you have a foot issue. Wish it'd been around when I broke my ankle in junior high. What a pain!
