Good afternoon!

I hope you’re all enjoying your Tuesdays. I’m still trying to shake this cold — my throat is killing me and kept me up all night! Sigh. I’ve been pounding tea with lemon and honey like it’s my job — here’s hoping it starts working!

It’s been a busy week so far since getting home from Miami — I had class all day yesterday and then headed out to Durham around 4 for a fun exercise date with Kath and her sister Laura!

As you guys know, I love exercise dates. The three of us walked for over an hour, chatting away. It was fun to catch up with Kath and to meet Laura! We walked around Duke’s East Campus, which I’d never really seen before, so that was fun, too.

Good thing I didn’t wear any UNC apparel. 😉

I arrived home around 6:15 and was STARVING for dinner but had basically no food in the house after the weekend away, so to the grocery store it was! I picked up a few essentials:

Mixed greens, baby spinach, zucchini, avocado, green pepper, eggs, blueberries, bananas, cottage cheese, milk, and some Kashi cereal. I didn’t have the energy to do a big grocery shop since I was so hungry, and I definitely didn’t want to come home and cook, so I decided to treat myself to dinner there. I was at the Weaver Street Market co-op and they have a great hot bar and salad bar.

I got a mix of random stuff to bring home for dinner — some chicken, veggie lasagna, chicken cacciatore, plus a big salad and some peas (I randomly really love peas).

It hit the spot. I spent the rest of the night catching up on emails — and also watching the Jersey Shore from last week, obviously. 😉

Time to get back to work — taking the whole weekend off to play means I have a lot of school work (and blog work) to catch up on!

Ta-ta for now, friends!

Have you ever tried peas frozen? They are one of my favorite snacks.

I don't know how or why I started eating them like that -- I think because my mom gave them to me as a healthy snack when I was a kid? -- but I am hooked. I will say that I've never met anyone else who does it, though. I promise they're good that way! :)

I have always loved peas even as a kid which threw my Mom a bit. Give me fresh peas in the pod and I could eat them for days!

I love Duke's campus especially the Duke Gardens. It is absolutely gorgeous in the spring! I always say I am going to park there and just run through the campus and the gardens some day, but I still have yet to do so. I am so jealous of your Weaver Street Market dinner, it looks so good! They have the best salad bar.
