Chapel Hill Study-Fest: Day 3!

Another day of studying behind us! We had gorgeous weather here in Chapel Hill yesterday (one of the reasons I miss living here so much – winters are the best!), so Maria and I started our day with a nice hour long walk around her neighborhood before Elle came over to study.

Maria is married with two kids – I don’t know how she did our whole masters program + internships while running a house, too! She’s a rockstar.

Elle arrived at 10 and we hit the books again hard. For those who asked, we’re studying from the Jean Inman review manual, and have also been taking the AND practice tests. I also was sent an electronic practice test from Visual Veggies to test out, so we’ll be doing that later this week, too!

Around noon, we had lunch while continuing to work.

We each threw together whatever we saw that looked good in Maria’s fridge (Maria, thank you again for feeding us!!) – I had a big salad with feta and avocado (which I actually couldn’t finish), plus some leftover Brunswick stew. Maria started a blog recently so you can find her recipe for the stew there! It was really good. 🙂

After lunch, it had gotten so nice out that we moved the study party outside!

I ended up busting out shorts because it got so warm. Did I mention I miss NC? 🙂

We finished upwith a couple walks with our notes and after 6 solid hours of studying + a little practice test action, we called it a day. I packed up my stuff since I’m staying with Elle for the next few nights, and Elle and I headed straight to Franklin Street Yoga for our favorite Wednesday night “Rock Your Asana” power vinyasa class! Tim and Lindsey met us there, too. 🙂

Great class, as always! I miss that studio so. We’ll definitely be back before I leave!

For dinner, Elle and I decided pho was in order. We walked over to Lime & Basil on Franklin Street and started with the fresh summer rolls. Mmm…

And then, pho! I’ve been feeling like a cold is coming on the past few days, and this REALLY hit the spot. Feeling much better today and I’m pretty sure pho is why. 😉

Elle and I are gearing up for a workout before we meet Maria for more studying today, but we have some fun planned for tonight – we’re having a dinner get together here at Elle’s with a bunch of our other grad school girlfriends in the area! Can’t wait to see them. 🙂

Have a great day, friends!

Wow, you girls are impressive! I don't know if I would be so dedicated with my girlfriends around, lol. But then again study groups in college did always turn out better than when I was by myself. I have yet to try Pho but I feel I need to find a place around here!

Mmmmm I love and miss Lime & Basil! I was actually on the hunt for a new Vietnamese restaurant last night in Fayetteville because I was craving pho but it was closed :( I'll be in CH this weekend so maybe it was a sign that I should wait for Lime & Basil :)

I am so jealous! I love the Carolinas and it is way to cold here right now. I can't wait until I can wear shorts outside again!

That sky is so blue! I love it! That's how the sky is here in Vegas too, actually. When do you get back? I'm heading back to DC this weekend!

I really enjoy your blog. Very inspiring. Good luck with your studies. The real reason I commented is because Pho is what makes life worth living. It looked so delicious I had to comment.
