These Greek lamb burgers with feta are packed with flavor and super nutritious! A simple, delicious dinner for any time of year.

Do you guys remember a while ago when I mentioned that Matt and I made some Greek lamb burgers that were crazy delicious, but dropped the ball on measuring anything/actually having a formal recipe to share?

Well, my friends, the wait is now over. Greek Lamb Burgers for all! You’ll want to make these ASAP, trust me.

Greek Burgers with Lamb, Feta, and Spinach

These burgers are just as comforting as a typical burger, but they’re healthier and full of unique Mediterranean flavors!

The beauty of this recipe, as with most of my recipes, is that it’s pretty flexible. If there’s an ingredient you’re not feeling, simply leave it out. One thing you won’t want to skip, though, is the sauce.

We’ve discovered that these are amazing with my Cucumber Yogurt Garlic Sauce (<—super old but awesome recipe).

I’ve been really into lamb lately, but if you’re not, no worries. These would work well with ground turkey or beef too! A combination would be tasty, too.

The key to these burgers (as with any really good burger, in my opinion), is the add-ins!

I first got the idea to make Greek-themed burgers from my friend Karen, and it was genius. Adding in chopped spinach, olives, feta, and sundried tomatoes into the ground meat makes for a seriously delicious combination.

So flavorful, juicy, and savory!

How to Make Greek Burgers

These burgers come together in just 20 minutes, so they make a perfect quick (and healthy!) weeknight meal.

Start by combining all your ingredients (ground lamb/turkey/beef, feta, kalamata olives, sundried tomatoes, and spinach) into a large bowl. Use your hands to mix until well-incorporated. (Try not to over-work the meat, though!). Then, divide into 6 patties and set aside.

Next, heat a griddle/grill pan/grill to high heat. (A skillet works, too, just make sure to add some olive oil). Cook the patties for about 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

We love to serve these burgers with either a whole wheat bun or pita bread, or even atop salad. Either way, I’d recommend making sure that cucumber, spinach, mint or basil, and the cucumber yogurt sauce are involved! (Instructions for the sauce are below). Sliced bell peppers and/or arugula would be delicious, too.

The flavors go together really well. And you guys know I love bulking up meals with extra veggie power!

Cucumber Yogurt Garlic Sauce

To make this tasty Greek-inspired sauce, you’ll need:

  • 6 oz of plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic (peeled)
  • juice from 1 whole lemon
  • 1/3 of a cucumber (sliced)

Place all the ingredients into a food processor, and whirl until smooth. That’s it!

I hope you love these burgers just as much as Matt, my mom (who was over for dinner the first time we made them), and I did!

The full Greek lamb burgers with feta recipe is at the bottom of this post. Enjoy!

I'm already fanatical about gyros so this is right up my alley. I'll have to see how much ground lamb costs though... hopefully it's not too expensive!

I made this on Sunday and it tasted amazing! I followed your suggestions and made sure to eat the lamb burgers with cucumbers mint and spinach on a pita as well as I made your cucumber yogurt garlic sauce. It was my first time cooking lamb. I'll be sure to make it again! The only thing was that when I turned it on high heat, my smoke detector went off! ha. hopefully next time, it won't go off

We have problems with our smoke detector when we sear meat on high, too -- annoying! We're looking into getting a better exhaust system put in...

Hi Anne - I can't wait to try this, but I live in an apartment and haven't done burgers on a pan before. Do you put anything in the pan first - cooking spray or olive oil or just throw them in the pan?

I would do a little cooking spray or olive oil so they don't stick!

Love your Lamb burger recipe! However, I added oregano (Rigani in Greek) for an authentic Greek flavour as is the most widely used herb in Greek cuisine... x
