Mmmmmm. My mom just came into town and treated me to lunch at one of my favorite Lebanese places in Virginia — Aladdin’s Eatery!

I had the Ali Baba Pita Pitza — which is pureed eggplant, sliced tomatoes, feta cheese, char-grilled slices of eggplant, calmata olives, and oregano, all on top of a pita. SO GOOD!

I also got a fun juice — carrot, celery, spinach, parsley, and apple. Sounds gross but was actually AWESOME!

Hope you’re all having a nice Friday! I started my day early this morning the best way I know how — with some exercise!

I hit up an early morning cardio kickboxing class at LA Boxing. Awesome workout, as always! Group classes are the best because all you have to do is show up and do whatever they say — no thinking involved, which is key for the early morning 🙂

And now, this is awaiting:

But I have something to look forward to — later tonight I’m going to the Dave Matthews concert with a bunch of friends! We may sweat to death, but it should still be a blast 🙂 He’s great live and we’ve gone a bunch of summers in a row.

Have a wonderful day!

this looks delicious... eating gluten free means I make many of my pizzas with tortillas (and once with - heh - romaine) but I need to try a pita. :) we have a heavy bag in the back of our garage... my new goal is to clean our garage enough so I can get in there and use it!! HAPPY FRIDAY, have a great time at DMB !

OMG, so jealous of the Dave Matthews concert, by the way! I went one of their concerts a while back, and it was honestly the best concert that I have ever been to. Everyone was dancing and singing. I think Dave was drunk and sang the same verse to a song like 7 times. Be careful about the abundant amount of weed at those concerts! Otherwise, it might be an even better night for you via second hand smoke!! lol

My husband is so bummed! He used to go to multiple DMB shows a year, and we decided to hold off this year to help the budget...and of course they're now gonna go on a break. AHHH! Have fun!

I love Aladdin's! I live in Cleveland where they are headquartered, so they are all over the place here. It's fantastic - I can get Lebanese whenever! I haven't had that pizza yet, but it looks great. I'll have to try it on my next visit!

I didn't know that Aladdin's had places in different states. I guess I never really looked it up, though! I loooooooooove their baba ghanouj and spicy hummus. Not to mention the blueberry delight smoothie and the shawarma rolled. MMM now I need to go there!

I looove Aladdin's! There is one in every town I've lived it. It's starting to become a requirement for places to live ;-) Their hummus is to. die. for! I also love the juices. Ahhh now I have a craving. xo
