Seriously… can I please not go back to DC?!

091

078

I’m so obsessed with the beach!!

…But let’s start at the beginning of the day! Willow and I went out for a short run, I did an impromptu boot camp style workout in the living room with a medicine ball (I’ll be posting some new exercise moves once I’m back in DC, by the way!), and then my cousin Derek and I headed to HOLLYWOOD!

Look, I found Harry Potter! Heh.

022

And Mickey and Marilyn (who was scarily realistic)!

024 027 Swoon:

018

Derek gave me a driving tour of Sunset Blvd (featuring all the various bars/clubs where celebs have OD’ed, of course) and Beverly Hills, and then my dreams came true:

034

Yesssssss!!! Pinkberry, fuel of the stars!

035

039

After the foodgasm, Willow and I jetted off to Malibu!

046

075

064

I love seeing all these places I always hear about. “Oh yeah, just going to Malibu for the afternoon, no big deal…”

050 043

It was pretty much ridiculously amazing and we spent a good hour and a half playing on the beach and taking photos.

056 057

We started with some Operation Beautiful love in the sand 🙂

092

109And then… the sun set. HOLY CRAP!!!!!

096 118

Paradise.

082

094

127 124

Okay I think I’m cut off from photos. 🙂 Except to show you my incredible dinner:

130

Mmmmmm Ahi Tuna… I love thee!

Time to get ready for the day! It’s looking gorgeous again and today’s adventure will involve hiking around the Hollywood sign area… YAY!!

What’s the most beautiful beach you’ve been to? Malibu may take the cake, rivaled by some of the beaches I visited while studying abroad in Australia during college 🙂

Malibu is AAAAAAAAH-mazing, but the best beach I've ever been to was in Tortola BVI - white sand, gentle waves - all I need now is a cup of rum punch and i'm in heaven! love (ADORE) your pictures from this trip! :)

Anne - I am insanely jealous of your CA trip. Your pictures are amazing! I just spent 4 days in St. Louis where the temperature barely topped 20, so beaches and flip-flops look lovely.

I love the "You are Beautiful" note in the sand. I'm designing a "beachside cottage" nursery for my soon-to-be-born child. Would you mind if I made a print of your pic to frame? Love the blog by the way- I followed a link from Eat.Live.Run :-)
Oh wow, what an amazing idea! I would love if you used it! :) Just please give me credit if you post pics of it on your blog or anything :) Please send me a photo of it when you're done, too! Yay! -Anne

My favorite is Trunk Bay in St. John, but I think all the beaches in STJ are pretty fantabulous!

Sadly we didn't go there. So many beaches, so little time!!! :) -Anne

Best best I have ever been to was Laguna. If you have time to see Laguna....GO!!!! It's just like you would imagine. Amazing!

Hi Anne, I've been reading your blog for a little bit now, it's wonderful! Just wanted to say yay for Aussie beaches, being from Sydney myself :-) Also can I ask what camera you use? Your photos are absolutely stunning! I'm thinking of a) getting a DSLR and b) starting a food health and beauty blog. Thanks! Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Aussie Aussie Aussie... Oi Oi Oi!!! :) I actually just have a point and shoot camera! It's a Fuji Film Z20. The only time it isn’t great is in dim lighting/at night, which is why I hardly ever post when I go out to eat at restaurants! I’m saving up for a manual digital because I LOVE taking photos as you can see :) -Anne
