The weather here has been so weird lately – one day it’s balmy, the next it’s frigid. What the heck, mother nature?

Last Thursday morning was one of those frigid days. Thankfully, I had some cozy accessories (which you’ll have a chance to win at the end of this post!) from my friends at Brooks to keep me warm!

utopia thermal headband

Above I’m rocking the Utopia Thermal Headband – so cute, right? Stayed put nicely too! On my feet, I had the Essential Low Cut Tab socks on – my faves. On my hands, the Utopia Softshell Gloves:

I was also rocking the PureProject Warmer, which was awesome! I remember last year while running during the Polar Vortex I was cozy in all my gear with the exception of my butt/hips, which got super cold.

This won’t be a problem anymore! The warmer is one size fits all and you cinch it in with a drawstring. Didn’t budge during our run and kept me nice and cozy, too. It’s super soft material!

pure project warmer

After the run, Sokphal and I experimented other uses for it. Hat? Neck warmer? You decide… 😉 (Yes, we’re weird.)

As for the actual run, we had a good one! The sunrise was gorgeous and while it was windy and cold, it felt nice to be out and getting some fresh air.

We had the whole place to ourselves! 🙂

5.3 miles – great run and fun to catch up my friend Sokphal, who has been traveling/out of town for awhile!

And now, it’s your turn to win some cozy Brooks running accessories – whether to keep for yourself or to gift to your favorite runner. 🙂

Here’s what one lucky fANNEtastic reader will win, in their choice of sizes/colors:

  • PureProject Warmer
  • Utopia Thermal Headband
  • Essential Low Cut Tab socks
  • Utopia Softshell Gloves – just an FYI that these gloves run large, so I’d size down in them if you can! (My tiny hands could have used an XS – Brooks, please start making XS gloves!)

To enter to win, simply follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter giveaway widget below. The only required form of contest entry is leaving a comment on this blog post with what your run happy resolutions are for 2015 – how do you plan to run happy in the new year? After you comment, you can get extra entries with some social media shares/likes, etc. Good luck! 🙂

a Rafflecopter giveaway

p.s. Looking for some other holiday gift ideas for runners? A few other favorites of mine from Brooks lately are the Utopia Thermal Tight II (sooo cozy and love the pockets – I’m wearing them in this post), Adapt Jacket (REALLY warm and comfortable – will be great for super cold runs!), and LSD Lite Vest II. I’m also a long time lover of the Essential 1/2 Zip and the Infiniti Anorak (love the ruffles – it’s the pink top I’m wearing in the photos in this post!); I have both in multiple colors so you see them a lot here on the blog!

I'm hoping to do one in the early spring to kick off getting back into running, than another in the late fall. Thanks for hosting such a fun giveaway - and that Pure Project warmer - best invention ever!

My first attempt will be in February, which means I will have to continue running in the cold - always a challenge for me. I just lost my gloves, and these gloves look amazing! I have to replace them before the next cold front hits, because I will use any excuse I can find to get out of running in the cold.

Running happy would be learning to gracefully & effortlessly run, without looking like I am a heart attack away from perspiring! :)

I also excited to explore all that DC has to offer fitness-wise (yoga, etc.), as I'll be looking to network with other DC-area athletes. But, first we have to find a house and move from RI. On trails, he likes running with my family or with my friends and is always super compatible for everything. He's also kept me going throughout the whole Runner's World Running Streak for winter 2014. For 2015, I plan to keep up the same ideas, invest in some new running outfits, up the mileage and look for new trails to explore with my devoted teammates: my friends, my family and Bigby. I also hope to do more fun runs (Santa Run this year was a blast) and maybe even try out some dog dashes. Go Team Bigby!

My goal is to actually get out there and run and even sign up for a 10k. I have always preferred running for time rather than distance so I truly have a love-hate relationship with running but have been pushing myself to enjoy it more and keep going further. Since I moved from Scottsdale (115 degrees) to Milwaukee (15 degrees) I have been looking for gear to keep me warm when I workout outside or want to go for a run. So far my feet are always freezing but you're giving me great ideas with this post!

I ran a half marathon in October that did NOT go the way I wanted it to. Leading up to the race I had mentally checked out of running due to the fact that I had to cancel my plans for a full. After that half, I stopped running consistently for a few weeks. In the last week or so, I finally got the urge to run again for fun. I think the break did me some good so I'm excited to continue this recaptured desire into the new year!

After reading about how your favorite running weather is cold/sunny I decided I might as well try it.. and it was awesome! I looked a little ridiculous due to lack of cold weather running gear but I'm so glad I went. I plan to run happy in 2015 by signing up for a half marathon and going for more early morning runs at a nearby lake to avoid crowded sidewalks and see the sunrise!

In 2015, my plan is to run outside year around. The cold MN winters have scared me away in the past, but this winter I've been running outside and really enjoying it!

Ran my first half this summer and finished in 2:37 :) Getting back to training and planning to break 2:30 this year (but of course if I beat 2:15 I'll be even happier!)

Not solely running, but I had a baby in October and I'm hoping to get back into shape by training for a sprint triathlon. My husband does Olympic and half distance, and I sort of want in on the fun.
