I’m a huge appetizer lover – whenever I go to a party or holiday gathering, my first stop is always the appetizer table – I often prefer it to the main meal! 🙂 So today, I wanted to share a list of my favorite dairy free appetizers that both lactose-free eaters and dairy lovers alike will enjoy!

Easy Appetizers Without Dairy

You don’t need dairy to prepare a delicious appetizer spread! Below, I’m sharing the best easy dairy free appetizers, including creamy hummus dips, chicken sliders, and more.

They’re all super flavorful and crave-worthy, without the need for any dairy ingredients like cream, milk, cheese, etc.

Whether you (or a friend or family member) is lactose free or you’re just trying to eat less dairy, these are all perfect apps to make!

Beetroot Hummus Dip (Vegan)

beetroot hummus with cucumbers, radishes, and pita bread

This beetroot hummus brings together a creamy texture with a lightly earthy flavor for an unbeatable (and beautiful) appetizer dip recipe! It’s naturally vegan and super easy to make with a food processor.

You can roast the beets yourself, or save even more time by getting pre-cooked beets from the grocery store. Serve with crackers, pita bread, and/or crunchy veggies!

BBQ Chicken Sliders with Slaw

Say hello to the best chicken sliders out there! Tangy BBQ sauce, juicy shredded chicken, and crunchy vinaigrette-based slaw are sandwiched between slider buns for an appetizer that I guarantee will disappear quickly. 🙂

This recipe features a homemade BBQ sauce recipe, but you can store-bought BBQ sauce (and rotisserie chicken) to save time if desired. Either way, these will be a hit!

Mango Habañero Salsa

Looking for something that’s both sweet and spicy? This fresh mango salsa is made with habañero peppers for a kick of heat. It’s super easy to make, and is delicious served with tortilla chips (or on tacos!)

You can easily decrease the spice level by swapping out the habañeros for jalapeño peppers (seeds removed for even less spice) or bell peppers (for no spice).

Crockpot Honey Sriracha Turkey Meatballs

I’m a huge fan of slow cooker recipes, especially when hosting parties. There’s nothing better than letting your food cook on its own without having to worry about it!

These juicy turkey meatballs are cooked in a sticky honey sriracha sauce that’s absolutely delicious. Serve them with toothpicks and they’ll disappear before you know it! 😉

Savory Pumpkin Hummus Dip

This smooth and creamy savory pumpkin dip is always a hit, especially during the holidays! It’s so simple to make (all you need is a food processor), and you can even make it ahead of time. It’s easily portable, too!

Plus, you can serve it with practically anything you like. I love this fall-inspired hummus dip with tortilla chips and crunchy veggies like raw broccoli and carrots.

Avocado White Bean Dip

If you’re an avocado lover like me, you need to try this avocado dip! It’s so quick and easy to make, and only requires a handful of ingredients. Lemon juice brightens up the flavor, and white beans make the dip super creamy.

It’s a lot like a hummus dip, but with avocado as a main ingredient (which is a delicious addition)! Serve with seedy crackers, crunchy veggies, pita bread, or whatever your heart desires!

Dairy Free Kale Artichoke Dip

vegan kale artichoke dip

Yes, artichoke dip can be just as creamy and delicious when made vegan! This version swaps the traditional spinach for kale (its just as good, but heartier!) and uses blended white beans and avocado to make it creamy.

For a tasty cheesy-flavored topping, nutritional yeast is sprinkled on top. This vegan dip is amazing with toasted crostini, but you can serve it with pretty much anything!

I hope these dairy free appetizer recipes are a hit at your next gathering – I have a strong feeling they will be. 🙂 Enjoy!
