Hi guys! It’s been a dreary week over here in DC – what’s with all the rain and clouds?! Oh well – at least it makes yoga even cozier, right? 🙂

epic yoga dc

I kicked off my workweek downtown at my co-working space on Monday and decided to treat myself to a lunchtime yoga class via ClassPass (<- affiliate link for $30 off). It was just what I needed – felt really good to slow down and stretch out!

As for yesterday, Matt and I got in a quick morning run date! I wanted to go to my track workout group but I’m still getting over a cold and wanted to give myself one more day to sleep in a bit and keep things lower key. So instead Matt and I headed out for a couple casual miles around the neighborhood before he left for work. It actually ended up being a nice morning – the sun even came out briefly to join us! We did a really hilly route – didn’t feel easy but it was nice to get some fresh air and the company was excellent, of course. 🙂

Speaking of fitness, I’m really excited because the Winter Shape Up launches next week on Monday, January 30! As you guys know, the Winter Shape Up is a fun challenge that I co-host every year with my friend Gina, who is a personal trainer. It’s not a weight loss or diet challenge or anything like that – it’s just meant to motivate and inspire you guys to get active in a positive way and to try some fun new healthy foods. The 4 week challenge is totally free and I’ll be sharing all the details here on the blog, so stay tuned! The first meal plan will be posted on Friday so you have time to shop over the weekend.

As for the workout videos, which Gina shares on her site, they are extra fun this year because we got to film them together for the first time! They are hard but fun. 🙂 Here’s a little promo we filmed for you guys:

And just for fun, here’s a silly out-takes/bloopers video! The end is my favorite with the slow mo shirtless guy running by, lol!

Have a fabulous day guys – I’ll be back tomorrow with some tips on building a healthy, satisfying breakfast. 🙂

I wanted to comment yesterday. The Shenandoah Mts. are one of my family's favorite getaways too. Thank you for listing the trails you hiked. I have a week booked in May and do a lot of hiking as well. I am also looking forward to the WSU. I love your recipes. Your protein breakfast pancake, the microwave banana oatmeal, and Mexican quinoa salad are just a few of my favorite. I am also doing Yoga with Adriene's Yoga Revolution challenge. I think you will like it.
