Hey guys! Keep those entries coming for my Cabot/race giveaway! 🙂

I wasn’t planning to go to the track Tuesday because I just ran the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler on Sunday and am no longer “training” for a specific race as of now, but I ended up waking up naturally right at 6, wide awake, and figured – what the heck! Turns out it was a good day to go, because almost all my buddies were there too!

It was also a good workout for a couple days after a race (a huge chunk of the group ran the 10 miler – most raced it) because it wasn’t too intense. After warming up, we did two 2000’s (5 laps around the track) with a couple minutes rest in between. Sounded good to me! I ran with my friends and chatted for most of it. 🙂 The watch just shows the workout, but I did about another 1.5 miles of warm up and cool down with everyone, so probably covered 4 miles total.

I was starving when I got home so I made myself a big feast before I even showered – two fried eggs + arugula + guac + a savory waffle (Swapples brand).

I worked from home on Tuesday so I had some leftover chicken, veggie, and rice soup for lunch (we made it on Sunday night).

Then I had a fun friend date mid-afternoon – my best friend Jenny from high school is in town visiting, so we met up at her family’s place in Falls Church and walked to a cool new hipster coffee joint called Rare Bird Coffee Roasters. I had an iced tea and we shared some fun baked goods! Yum.

So fun having Jenny here! 🙂

I’m working from home again today (I was downtown yesterday) – good day for it because it’s POURING outside. Stay dry out there, my friends, and I’ll see you back here tomorrow!
