Dinner last night was deeeeeelicious! We had quite the feast and a blast hanging out cooking and sampling wine at Hardy’s place. I love dinner parties, don’t you? 🙂 Also, I’m totally impressed when guy can cook (and actually enjoys it!).

The Menu

Appetizer:

Balsamic tofu mixed greens salad (courtesy of Hardy)

038

Main Courses:

Sautéed carrots and fennel (courtesy of Hardy)

041

Green beans sautéed in garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, cracked pepper and a pinch of salt (courtesy of yours truly! I’ll put the recipe up soon, these were GREAT)

040

Israeli mix of grains with chicken broth, lemon zest, and feta (courtesy of Jenna!)

042 028

And the shining star:

Lamb chops marinated in garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and fresh herbs (courtesy of Hardy)

043

We may or may not have also had tater tots 😉 (team effort, heh)

031

We also enjoyed some more delicious wine, starting with a mystery tasting for me and Jenna from Hardy!

017

It turned out to be GEORGIA wine!! (That’s where he’s from 🙂 ) The Chardonnay was my favorite. So delicious!

022

Now Jenna and I are having green Amazing Grass smoothies and making plans for the day. We’re thinking the coast and some hiking before the festivities tonight. Stay tuned 🙂

What are yours plans for ringing in the new year? I feel like I’ll have to celebrate at 9 p.m. in addition to midnight since that’s my normal time zone 😉

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE, friends!
