Hi friends! I’m glad many of you enjoyed my 13 Healthy On-the-Go Snack Recipes round up post yesterday (it also includes one of my best tips for making healthy eating easier, so check out that post if you missed it). Also, thank you for all your great advice on my post earlier this week about which spring races I should do! As of now I decided I’m going to take your advice and not do the March half marathon – I don’t think my heart is in it. You guys were smart to realize that when I didn’t quite realize it! I figure I can always change my mind later if I want to, anyway! The 10 miler in April will be fun, though – I’ll be in town more of the weekends leading up to that race so training will be easier to fit in – and those 3 fewer miles make a HUGE difference. 🙂 I know it is just 3 more miles… but for some reason those extra 3 make for such a harder time especially when racing. Feels like more than just 3 extra, don’t you think?!

Anyway! Speaking of mixing it up from running, I’ve gone to two great boot camps this week! I kicked off my week Monday morning with some strength training – another class at Madabolic in Clarendon via ClassPass (<—affiliate link for $30 off) with my buddy Chelsea!

The circuit workout involved planks, weighted lunges, walking while carrying heavy weights, some punching of bags with gloves on, and in the right in the photo above you’ll see a white board – that’s the same fun lateral strength slider that I wrote about recently – my trainer Paul from Capital Energy Training had me use one a few weeks ago! You slide back and forth on it – it’s fun. 🙂 Anyway – the instructor we had on Monday could have been more positive and motivating, but it was still a good workout.

My second boot camp of the week was this morning at Definitions, also via ClassPass, and also with Chelsea but with the addition of Kathleen, too! 🙂 It’s so dark in the mornings now – but it did mean that when we arrived we got to see another of the cool Georgetown light displays. This one was on the canal – pretty!

I enjoyed a rest day yesterday so it felt good to move again today. It was hard but fun. I <3 my workout buddies! 🙂

Kathleen and I both showered and got ready at the gym afterwards and then went next door to Baked & Wired for lattes before parting ways and heading to work. It’s weirdly warm out today so I decided to celebrate with an iced latte! Nice to wear a light jacket too!

I’m now set up at my co-working space and ready to crush my to-do list, and I’ve also got some AnneTheRD nutrition client calls on the agenda too. I hope you guys have a fabulous day – see you back here tomorrow for some Friday randomness. 🙂

What’s the most fun workout you’ve done this week?

I'm glad you feel at peace with your decision Anne! I'm also feeling a lot better now that I've decided not to do my March half. I'm going to run at least one 5K with my sister instead, and try out some new classes near me! I'm sipping on an iced latte as I type :) It's a hot summer here in Brisbane! Have a great day!

Sounds perfect - both the 5k decision and the iced latte in Brisbane! :)
