Hi friends! I hope your weeks are going well so far! I’ve been enjoying a little extra time with my high school friends who are still in town after coming in for the wedding this past weekend. I spent some time on Sunday doing work so that yesterday my friend Dinah and I could meet up for a little morning yoga + early lunch date.

We hit up Blue Nectar Yoga in Falls Church (via ClassPass for me); I’ve been a couple times before and always enjoy it.

Our hour and a half Hatha yoga class focused on breathing, holding poses for longer and working on form, etc. It was wonderful – so relaxing and calming!

After getting our yoga on, we tried out a new to us place in Falls Church: Pita Pouch! Check out this sweet spread:

It was kind of like a Mediterranean Chipotle – similar to Roti, which I also really like. I got an enormous salad bowl thingy with essentially everything on it, and a mix of chicken and falafel for my protein. I loved that they let me do half and half because I was being indecisive! The bowls come with a half pita on the side, too. Delicious!

So fun getting some time to catch up with Dinah, too! We played on the tennis team together in high school and also did an epic European backpacking trip after college so it’s always great to see her and reminisce. <3

I spent the rest of the day catching up on emails and doing a little recipe development. Yum, yum! Recipe coming in a few weeks. 🙂

As for last night, I had another high school friend date, this time with friends Jenny and Lara (the one that just got married! they are doing a belated honeymoon). Jenny and I met up a little early for a pre-dinner tea happy hour. <3

Side note – I got the most epic Stitch Fix box last night! I told my stylist (you can write notes for them in your profile) I wanted some fun summery dresses and tanks for our beach trip coming up next week, and they NAILED it. Cutest box ever! I’ll share more pics of the stuff as I wear it, but I put this dress on immediately last night right after it came and wore it out. 🙂 I added the white belt, which is from Old Navy.

If you haven’t tried Stitch Fix (affiliate link) yet, do it. I really like that they send stuff you might not normally even try on at the store but that you end up loving. Also, normal stores overwhelm me… I prefer only a few options that come right to my door. 🙂

Anyway – dinner! On the menu was True Food Kitchen in the Mosaic District, which is one of my absolute faves. The girls and I started by sharing the tofu lettuce wraps and the kale salad. Both were delicious!

For my entrée, I had the steelhead, which is very similar to salmon. It came with a tabouleh made with grated cauliflower – cool, huh?

Girls’ night requires Prosecco and dessert, right? 🙂 We shared these two beauties and they were as good as they look. The gluten free chia seed cake on the bottom right was my favorite!

Such a fun night with good friends. Seeing these ladies always makes my heart happy. 🙂

Have a wonderful day! Today is a super busy one for me – lots of meetings, AnneTheRD clients, emails to tackle, etc. I’m trying to get a ton done so I can mostly relax next week at the beach, too!

Beautiful dress!! I love TFK! We went there the last time we were visiting the DC area based on your recommendation and I have been shamelessly begging them to come to Richmond ever since. Their food is delicious and concept so unique. One of my faves for sure.

Whenever I'm in Scottsdale, I always hit up the True Food Kitchen(s) that are out there. It's a must visit! I'm so excited because they are planning to open one in Boston in 2016. I can't wait! I always get the chia seed pudding. Sooo good!

Ooh love the dress! Stitch fix is DEFINITELY another thing we need in Ireland, or at least I do! I'm so indecisive when shopping, even more so when online, and of course you always go for the safe option! Lunch looks great! I'm working in a new place we have here tomorrow called "Chopped" where you build your own salad like that too. Your green, protein and then all your toppings from avocado, to eggs, to toasted nuts and seeds and lots of veggies!

Whenever I go to hatha classes I always learn something about one of the postures we do. It's kind of nice to spend some time in the poses and really get a feel for them.

Hatha yoga is my favorite. I like holding the poses longer. It really helps me learn more about my strengths and weaknesses. Great dress too!

A Mediterranean Chipotle sounds great! I think it'd be cool to see a wider variety of cuisines in that style of restaurant. And I love your dress - it looks fabulous on you!

I wish I liked TFK....I've eaten at the Mosaic one twice now and haven't found anything I like. I'm all for healthy food too!! So many other healthy options that I like more like Cava and Sweetgreen.

Ooh wow, can you send the Pita Pouch to Colorado? That looks amazing. The Stitch Fix has been something that has always seemed really cool to me, but it's a bit out of my price range right now. :)
