Good afternoon!

We are all packed up and about to head off to the airport to fly to Germany for our family vacation! Our plane leaves around 5 p.m., which is great because we had time for a full day before heading out.

First up — a delicious breakfast!

002

My favorite — Kashi Heart to Heart mixed with Kashi Honey Sunshine, topped with fresh berries and skim milk. 🙂

003

In between packing and getting organized, I made time this morning for a yoga DVD to get some serious stretching in before sitting on a plane all night (bah — I loathe sitting still!)! I tried out this Bob Harper “Yoga for the Warrior” DVD that the lovely people at Quaker sent me in that Amazing Morning kit awhile ago:

015

I actually really loved this DVD! The yoga session is an hour long — it starts out with some intense vinyasa style yoga and finishes with about 15 minutes of abs/stretching at the very end. Perfect! Not too short, not too long. Got me sweating, too! Plus, Bob Harper is pretty hot 😉 I feel like there was some sexual tension with him and one of the girls in the DVD, haha. He’s not gay, is he?!

Aaaaaaanyway… I also got to try out my awesome new yoga block that I ordered courtesy of the $75 gift card CSN Stores sent me to review some of their products.

014

Yay! So happy to have one of these — I’m not all that flexible and it’s really useful for some of the harder poses where my hand can’t reach the ground.

In other news — guess who showed up for lunch? 🙂

010

Why, it’s Matt! He was in Pittsburgh for the holidays and drove back this morning, so he stopped by to say hello and have lunch before heading in to work.

He brought a bunch of leftovers from his parent’s house, so between his leftovers and ours we had ourselves quite the feast! I had some AMAZING turkey stuffed with sausage (!) from Matt’s stash, topped with cranberries from our stash!

004

With a side of salad and snap peas from our stash, topped with some broccoli and pesto covered tomatoes and mozzarella from Matt’s leftovers:

005

And a piece of toast 🙂 I love carbs, what can I say.

008

Dessert was a small Stonyfield Oikos blueberry Greek yogurt:

013

Plus half of a grapefruit (shared with Matt), sliced soccer-practice style so I can eat it obnoxiously with the rind in my mouth in front of my teeth.

012

Our ride gets here shortly so I’d better head off! Catch you guys later from EUROPE!!! So excited. And stay tuned — I have a special guest post coming at you guys tomorrow morning!

I can't do yoga well without a block, either. The ground is just so far away!

I got a yoga block for Christmas too. :) I had never used one before that yoga fusion class in Chicago and I probably would have died that day without it. :) Im tempted to try the Bob Harper yoga DVD. I <3 him.

Okay, now that I officially have your seal of approval on that Bob Harper yoga DVD, it's time for me to bite the bullet and get 'r done! My plan for this evening involves me doing the DVD in the privacy of my room, due to the fact that I'm sure it will be very embarrassing trying to pretend like I'm flexible in any way, shape, or form. :) Have a safe flight to ol' Deuschland!
