A couple weeks ago, I got an email from LÄRABAR asking if I’d be interested in reviewing some of their bars on my blog. I responded immediately — hell, yes! I love me some LARABAR.

023

When I don’t have time to make my own bars, LARABARs are one of my go-to brands  because they aren’t candy bars disguised as healthy snack bars. Their bars contain no preservatives, added sugar, fillers, or colorings, and only have a handful of ingredients, all of which are things I understand — pretty refreshing in a world full of processed crap! Their bars are also gluten free, non-GMO, kosher, and, with the exception of their chocolate chip varieties, vegan and free of dairy or soy.

Matt and I brought a ton of the LARABARs with us on vacation in Puerto Rico last week and like to have them on hand for bike rides, too.

011

I’ve also been bringing them with me to school as a convenient and portable afternoon snack! I was especially excited to try one of their newest flavors, Blueberry Muffin. Because we all know how I feel about muffins.

031

Pretty much amazing. It really does taste like a blueberry muffin!

My top 5 favorite LARABAR flavors are, in order:

  1. Tropical Fruit Tart
  2. Peanut Butter & Jelly
  3. Blueberry Muffin
  4. Carrot Cake
  5. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip

026

What are your favorite LARABAR flavors? And while you’re thinking about it — get your LÄRABAR coupon on their website for $1 off a purchase of two LARABARs. Pretty sweet deal since Larabars cost between $1 to $2! Totally printing one right now for myself…

Have a great night!

I like Gingersnap, Chocolate Coconut Chew, Coconut Cream Pie, Blueberry Muffin, and Cashew Cookie. Once in a while the lemon and lime flavors really hit the spot too. I save them mainly for travel.

"candy bars disguised as healthy snack bars" is exactly what my husband calls those other snack bars. I've been meaning to try Larabars for a long time - I just need to find somewhere that has more than 3 flavors to choose from!

Never tried them. I have seen them in grocery stores.I wonder how many carbs they have and if they are diabetic friendly. I shall check this out tomorrow. Blueberry muffin sounds wonderful.

Hi Anne, I came upon your blog when I was searching the web for a healthy muffin recipe. I love your sweet potato banana recipe and apple cinnamon oatmeal muffin recipe. I eat alot like you do and love to run, too. This past year I lost 66 lbs. I have a new outlook on eating, exercising and life in general. I feel so much better, now. Thanks for sharing your ideas and recipes on your blog :) Oh, and my favorite Larabar has to be Cherry Pie! Love it!

I was unsure about Larabars at first but I have found I few flavors I really like: peanut butter chocolate chip, carrot cake, and lemon. I really want to try the blueberry muffin, but haven't seen it at the store yet; I am on the lookout!

Oh Larabars... oh so good! I also take them with me... on vacation, in my purse, in my gym bag... I'd say my fav is probably peanut butter and peanut butter chocolate chip. I love that they only have a few ingredients - and are dairy free!

Love these. I will say at first (because I am on a serious weight loss mission) I had to get over the psychological block (my own) of how caloric I felt they were for such a small bar. I sort of had to re-learn how to look at certain foods. Now however, I cannot live without them. :) The cashew cookie flavor is my favorite.

I'm so glad to hear you've gotten over the mental block - it's hard when you're first starting to get healthy to remind yourself to go for whole, real foods, which may have more calories/fat, vs. something that's devoid of nutrition but super low calorie (like a lot of the other bars on the market). Good for you!
