Hello friends!

I’ve had an awesome Memorial Day weekend so far with my friend Jess here visiting! Yesterday morning we hit up Eastern Market, which is an awesome and huge outdoor (and part indoor) market down near Capitol Hill.

006

They have all sorts of produce, jewelry, knick knacks, and more for sale. Love!

I bought a bunch of fun fruits and veggies. I always forget how much more flavorful and delicious local produce is 🙂 Especially tomatoes!

The city is CRAZY this weekend because Rolling Thunder is here! They were EVERYWHERE on our drive downtown.

Check out how sweet this red motorcycle is! It even has a mini trunk?!

005

Our afternoon adventure was kayaking!

I got a Groupon last week for Jack’s Boathouse. Perfect timing! 🙂

019

It was such a cute place, and the staff were really friendly. Definitely recommended! They are located directly under the Key Bridge (on the Georgetown side).

Safety first! 😉

Kayaking was super fun. My friend Heidi and I shared a kayak, and the weather cleared and the sun came out while we were out! Yay!

Heidi and I were TOTALLY soaked after from all the water dripping from our oars. Maybe we were doing something wrong because our friends Jess and Amy in the other kayak were almost totally dry! Lol. Oh well 🙂

Nothing better than being outside on a beautiful day with friends 🙂 We walked up into Georgetown after and got frozen yogurt, obviously. Hehehe

Yes, I have an addiction.

After a siesta, we headed back into Georgetown to tear up the town for Jessica’s bachelorette!

021

Yes, we made her wear a boa, a tiara, and a sash that said “Bachelorette.” Heh. Plus, this AWESOME ring! It lit up and was amazing.

027

We had a blast. It was a beautiful night and we hung out the outdoor bars at the Georgetown waterfront. There were lots of shenanigans and we attracted a lot of attention with all our gear on, as you can imagine! 🙂

Now we’re off to brunch and the Sex and the City 2 movie! Can’t wait 🙂 Have any of you seen it yet? Hope you’re having a great weekend, too!

You guys are too much. What an awesome weekend -- and still two days to go! Loved the boa and ring, in particular. Pls keep us posted (and don't forget a run).

Sounds like a fun weekend so far :) I personally thought SATC 2 is better than the first...lots of good one liners and entertaining plot. Enjoy!!

I must admit, I'm SUPER duper jealous of your kayaking. I have tried (and failed) to get people to go to Jack's with me. I haven't been (in DC!). Glad you liked the place. I want to go so bad! Did you know they do it during 4th of July? You can kayak with the fireworks :-) Pretty sweet.
