Hello friends!

I hope you’re all having great weekends! Mine has been… interesting, haha. Remember when I said I was going camping on the beach last night with the grad school gang? Well, literally the second we arrived at the beach yesterday a RIDICULOUS thunder/lightning/hail storm arrived as well. I didn’t get any photos since we were too busy hunkering down in Elle’s jeep, but imagine something completely apocalyptic like this:

It was one of those amazing moments where you’re all just laughing like, is this seriously happening?! Elle’s jeep didn’t have any windows on, so we were all getting pelted by hail/rain and it was just generally ridiculous and hilarious. The thunderstorm blew over after about 20 minutes and we triumphantly emerged from the car, completely soaked, and immediately went and played in the ocean for the next several hours. Win.

We ended up coming back late last night instead of staying over since our camping stuff got so drenched, but it was still a total blast to be playing on a beach for the day with your friends. Here’s hoping next time we go to the beach the sun will join us, too 😉

In other news, I got my recipe page updated with my latest creations! New recipe pages were made for:

  • Zesty Lemon Zucchini Muffins

  • Curried Barley Chickpea Salad (vegan)

006

  • Roasted Marinated Pork Tenderloin

I also added links at the top of the recipe page to each of the sections for easier navigation! Go check it out 🙂

Aaaaand my travel page is all updated with my latest adventures, too 🙂

I’m off to run some errands — my cell phone has randomly been turning itself off lately, which as you can imagine is not awesome. Verizon store, here I come! Matt gets home later today, too — he was in NYC for the weekend with the boys so he missed the epic beach adventure yesterday 😉

Have a good one!

The visual of you guys ducking for cover in a jeep without a top is too funny!
