Hello, hello!

I had another great track workout bright (er… kind of dark, actually) and early yesterday morning with the girls!

My grad school friends Elle and Lauren had been reading about my track workouts (in preparation for the Vegas half marathon) with Genna the past couple weeks and decided they wanted to join in on the fun this time, too. 😉

Like last time, our workout was:

  • A couple laps warm up jog
  • 6 laps of sprint the straights, jog the curves
  • In between each lap, do some sort of boot camp move
  • A couple laps cool down jog

I acted as drill sergeant and led the girls in a bunch of various boot camp moves — from push ups to sit ups to “swimming” (lower back exercise — pictures below) to lunges and side leg lifts and more!

We had a great workout — my watch says we covered 2.6 miles between the warm up, cool down, and sprinting drills.

And thanks, girls, for putting up with my stalker-ish photo taking. 😉 You know you love it.

We have a busy day of school ahead so I’ve packed enough food for an army — including some leftover pumpkin bread. 😉 So good!

I also got like 9.5 hours of sleep last night which was amazing and so necessary. I feel a cold coming on and am trying to head it off at the pass… blah.

Before I go, for the winner of my Attune Foods breakfast party kit giveaway! The winner is…

Commenter #137, Danielle!

Thanks to all that entered the contest and have a wonderful day!

Your track workouts always sound like a blast. I bet it's so nice to do these with friends. It kind of reminds me of gym class only better. ;)
