Hey friends! I’m SO EXCITED to share today’s post with you because it ends with what is probably the coolest giveaway I’ve ever hosted on my blog. I think those of you that are runners will agree!

But first, speaking of running, I was up early this morning to meet my buddy Sokphal for some frigid miles. The sun was just rising as we started – beautiful, as always. 🙂

running dc at sunrise

Today was one of those mornings where I REEEEEEALLY did not want to get out of bed to run. With the windchill, my phone weather app said the temperature was in the single digits, and I was pretty tired. But as always, having someone to meet made the difference between bailing and not, and I was so glad that I didn’t bail because we ended up having a great run!

dc sunrise run

I was actually surprised by how good running felt this morning, considering how I felt when I first woke up. My legs felt fresh and apparently wanted to go fast!

These views and the company helped. 🙂

It also helped that I was really bundled up, so I felt nice and toasty once we were moving! I remember when my long lost running buddy Mary lived in DC and we met up for really cold runs, she always wore massive mittens on top of normal running gloves. I took a page from her book this morning and did the same – I had a pair of tight, lightweight, sweat wicking running gloves on and then put these huge fleece-lined mittens on top. Genius! My hands were so happy. 🙂 Thanks for the idea, Mary! Wish you could have joined us this morning!

how to keep your hands warm during winter runs

And now, because you guys know I love posting unattractive photos of my myself on the internet, here is a sweaty bundled up selfie for your viewing pleasure. I know, the head/chin warmer combo is a good look for me. Just keepin’ it real. 😉

5 miles, done! I was pumped when I saw our average pace – great clip, especially since I haven’t exactly been great about running the past few weeks thanks to a combination of recovery from the Charleston Half Marathon + SnowZilla. Looking forward to getting back into it now!

We had fun with shadows after finishing (hi, endorphin wasted):

And now, for the giveaway you guys have been waiting for:

Win a Trip to Run the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler in DC on April 3 with me and Cabot!

The Cherry Blossom 10 Miler (<—last year’s recap) is one of my absolute favorite races in DC, as you guys know. It’s flat so it’s a great PR course, and more importantly the course is beautiful! Last year we even had the cherry blossoms join us, which is a rare treat. 🙂

cherry blossom 10 miler

I’ve done the race 3 times now and it’s always a blast, so I was thrilled when my friends at Cabot emailed me with a proposal to put together a fANNEtastic-Cabot running team for the race! I’ve been a Cabot cheese fan for ages and have also worked with them via the blog for a few years now – I’ve been on their Cabot Fit Team twice, have done some recipe development projects with them, and they are also a frequent sponsor of my Winter Shape Up series! In short, they are awesome – I always love collaborating with them (and eating their cheese).

IMG_20130803_062337

Anyway – Cabot is a sponsor of the Cherry Blossom 10 miler and as a result, they receive a number of bibs to give out as they choose. They are offering me a bib for the race and some extras to put together a fun team of my running buddies, PLUS 2 bibs for you guys! The Cherry Blossom 10 Miler is so popular that it now has a lottery system for entry, so I feel very lucky to be able to run the race with my friends AND invite one of you and a guest to join me! A huge thank you to Cabot for this awesome opportunity. 🙂

IMG_0004

Here’s the deal: Cabot is offering to fly one of you guys AND a guest of your choice here to DC for the race (up to $1,000). They will also cover your hotel (one room) for two nights and will give you the two free bibs. Amazing opportunity, right?! You guys know I am beyond lucky to get cool opportunities like this through the blog sometimes, and I’m so thrilled to be able to share a similar opportunity with one of you!

Here are a few caveats/disclaimers. Please read these before entering the contest! 🙂

  • This contest is sponsored by Cabot and me, not the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler.
  • The winner and their guest must be in the continental U.S.
  • The winner and their guest must (obviously) be available to travel to DC on the weekend of April 1, 2016 (the race is on April 3) and be appropriately trained/prepared to run the 10 mile race (at their own risk).
  • The winner and their guest should love cheese and Cabot (if you are dairy free, that’s cool, but this isn’t the contest for you!) – and be willing to attend a potential pre-race dinner and post-race celebration with me and the rest of the Cabot-fANNEtastic team.
  • The winner and their guest must be okay with being photographed and featured both on my blog and on social media (by me and Cabot) – and with wearing a Cabot team shirt during the race. 🙂
  • All food and ground transportation once in DC are the responsibility of the winner/their guest.

Are you guys as pumped about this as I am?! I can’t wait to meet the winner – and to share one of my favorite races with them. Thank you for reading my blog – and good luck! Please use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter – the contest is only open for a few days, so don’t forget! 🙂

I would bring my boyfriend with me to run the 10- miler. I live in NYC, but have always coveted the beautiful Cherry Blossom 10-miler in DC. I found fANNEtastic Food through other food/fitness blogs like Run, Eat, Repeat and Carrots 'n Cake. My favorite flavor of Cabot Cheese is the Horseradish Cheddar. YUM!

    1. I would LOVE to do this race!! I've never been to DC and I've always wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms. I would definitely bring my husband with me. He's starting to get into fitness, and I think this would be a great goal for him! 2. I found your blog through Pinterest (I think for a recipe?) about a year ago, and I've read daily ever since! 3. I love the Cabot Everything Bagel Cheddar Cheese!

I would love to run the Cherry Blossom 10-miler with my husband! He ran around DC with his cousin a couple years ago, and I've been dying to do the same ever since! I don't remember exactly how I found the blog, but it was through another blog. I love the healthy recipes, and seeing the way you incorporate different workouts into your running. To be honest, I love all the Cabot cheese. All. of. it.

Hi Anne! I would do love to win an entry to the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler for myself and my husband. We've lived in the DC area for ten years now and have never had a chance to run it! I think I first found your blog when I was looking for blogs featuring DC area runners. And I keep coming back to hear about your training and running adventures. As for cheese... Well I'm a sucker for all cheddar, but I think the Cabot Vermont is my very favorite!

How crazy exciting!! And boy am I jealous of your morning run views. 1) Not only does the CB10mi look devastatingly gorgeous, but what better way to visit DC for the first time than to run with the lady who boosted my interest in running in the first place! Before I started reading FF, I was a casual jogger. Reading all your race recaps inspired me to start really running and training, and currently I'm a week out from my 2nd Half, and have many a 5/10k's under my belt! If selected, I'd bring my friend, Bree, who I've introduced to the blog (she was in DC recently and tried Surfside for the burritos you rec'd), and who is my fave run buddy when she's visiting from school! 2) My friend, Amanda, introduced me to fANNEtastic Food! She and I are friends and co-workers, and both read your blog daily and discuss it afterwards...on our breaks, of course.... ;) 3) Tough. As a lover of cheese as a food group in itself, it's hard to pick one. But, twist my arm - the pepperjack block of cheese wins.

    1. I've been running for about 4 years and have run everything from 5k to marathon. The Cherry Blossom 10 miler has been on my list since I've started running. It's a beautiful course and I love DC! I would bring my mom because she's my #1 cheerleader! 2. Honestly I can't remember exactly how I found your blog but it must have been through other blogs. I keep coming back for your recipes and fitness ideas! 3. My favorite flavor of Cabot Cheese is the everything bagel - SO delicious!!

    1) Why do you want to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler with the Cabot-fANNEtastic team? Who would you bring with you as your guest? It sounds like an awesome race!! I'd also be really fast running at sea level, since I live in CO. ;-) I would probably have to see which of my running buddies would be OK being photographed/press stuff, as my favorite fellow runner is an introvert and hates that kind of thing. 2) How did you first find my blog and what keeps you coming back? Via the Fitnessista Shape Ups. I have you in my Feedly RSS, so I never miss a post. 3) What's your favorite variety/flavor of Cabot cheese? I have to pick? I am a huge cheese fan. I'll eat all of them with gusto. Cheddars are good. ;-)

    1) I've always wanted to run longer distances (6+ miles is what I consider long) and this is the perfect race, not a half marathon distance but seems more manageable to me! I'd love to bring my husband since we used to live in Northern Virginia, it'd be fun to be back for a weekend. 2) I found you when you started contributing to the Winter Shape-Up series. I used to live in Northern Virginia and it's nice to stay in touch with your "home town." Plus I love your views on being mindful when it comes to nutrition and hope to maintain that type of lifestyle. 3) Um, can I say all? I particularly love their sharp cheddar cheese. I feel I can savor a smaller piece because it's so much more flavorful than regular cheddar!

    1. I would bring my hubby, whose family lives in the DC area. I would love to run the race because my 3-year old niece would cheer us on, and because I've run a few 10k's and it's time for a new challenge! 2. I found you through KathEats and I keep coming back for an approach to health and fitness that seems balanced and doable. 3. I love Cabot's sharp white cheddar on everything! Why is white cheese so much more appetizing than yellow?

While I've been to the city many times, I've never run there or done a race, so this would be an awesome opportunity. Your blog is one of my favorites because you showcase a variety of things I'm interested in - travel, running, D.C. ;), healthy recipes, and some fashion/daily life stuff. Oh cheese...how I adore thee. I think I have to go with Pepper jack, though the Everything Bagel Cheddar is a close second.

I would be SO thrilled to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler with the Cabot-fANNEtastic team!!! 1) My husband and I went to college at George Washington University and I was always so impressed (and daunted) when the race happened when we lived in DC. 10 miles sounded like a completely insurmountable distance to me as a mostly lazy college student. Fast forward 6 years since I graduated and now almost nothing makes me happier than a great race. It would be a dream come true for my husband and I to return to DC and run this race together! 2) I found your blog when looking for nutrition advice as I increased mileage training for a marathon. I keep coming back because of all of your amazing content. I particularly enjoy when you post recipes for real food running fuel! 3) My favorite variety of Cabot cheese is definitely the Seriously Sharp. I love strong cheeses and think the Seriously Sharp is delicious!

I'be never run as part of a team before and would love to run with what I know will be a great group with an inspiring leader. I would bring my husband, who also want to run this race. I was searching for a granola bar recipe years ago (when you were still at UNC) and found your site. I love your approach to food and running. Plus, it's cool that our PRs and paces are just about the same. Alpine cheddar!

Oh my gosh I would LOVE it! I'm the biggest fan of cheese, I think it might be a problem hahah. I'd probably take my sister with me, so long as she's done breast feeding by then... Otherwise, probably my friend Jeff bc he was a Marine and we've been to DC together before and it was so amazing.

I never ran the Cherry Blossom 10 miler when I lived in DC (at the time, 10 miles felt like SO far) but after running three 1/2 marathons in the last year, this race sounds like it would be amazing. Cheese is my favorite food group, so running with Cabot-fANNEtastic would be the intersection of two of the world's best things (running and cheese). I'd probably bring along my running buddy & sister as my guest. Love the running tips, health/nutrition advice, and the day-to-day look at your favorite restaurants and work outs around VA/DC. I just moved away from DC about a year ago, so I often recognize the places you visit which is always fun. Favorite cheese: Cheddar (especially the extra sharp kinds)!

I would love to run the cherry blossom 10 miler with my husband. We need a spring race to train for and I have always wanted to visit DC to see the beautiful blossoms! I found your blog through Meals and Miles when you all went on a trip one time. I love Cabot Cheese, especially as a former VT resident. My favorite is the extra sharp.

I would love to run this race because I love D.C. and pictures from races in years past are so beautiful. I would love to meet you. I first started reading your blog a couples of years ago when I was looking for ways to gain back some much needed weight that I had lost. I love it that you eat a healthy diet, but you also enjoy sweets and other not so "healthy" foods. You balance everything. If I was selected as the winner, I am not 100% sure who I would ask, but probably one of the two friends I have that likes to run. As for my favorite flavor of cheese, I like white cheddar.

Wow! what a great giveaway. I live in the dirty south and have always wanted to run this race. I mean who doesn’t love to run in DC? Marine corps marathon has been my absolute favorite marathon. Between race fees, hotels and transportation-it wasn’t in the cards for us. Love your run recaps and the recipes you share-the quick weeknight dinner especially. Love all Cabot cheeses-just used the sharp light for some super bowl queso.

1.) I would like to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler because it's just an amazing race. To get to run through our nation's capitol would be such a treat! Plus running is the best way to sight see if you don't have a lot of time :) Also I read so many bloggers that run it would feel like you get to "live a day" like one of the bloggers who get to travel and do such cool races and have team camaraderie. I would bring my husband with me. He's my biggest fan and has never been to D.C. 2.) I found your blog through Meals and Miles. She was attending your wedding. My wedding was around the same time so it was fun to read someone who was going through the same thing as me. I keep coming back because I love the workouts, recipes and travel. 3.) I love the Serious Sharp Cheddar!

    1) I've never been to DC but have wanted to go for years. This would be a perfect opportunity to see the city at a beautiful time of year. Running is a great bond to have with people. I would bring my wife but she just had foot surgery last month, so I'd have to drop to my #2 choice (but don't tell him I said that), a friend/running buddy/ex-coworker. 2) I first found it doing a google recipe search. You have some pretty good food ideas! I'm drawn to your more wholistic approach rather than counting calories -- I think it's the right way to do it. 3) Living in Minnesota, we are overwhelmed with cheese from our eastern neighbor, Wisconsin. I've honestly never even seen Cabot cheese, but their Habanero spreadable cheese must be pretty fantastic.

    1. I would love to run a 10 miler. I have ran several 5k, 8k, 10k, and a couple of half marathons but never a 10 miler. Plus I would adore the cherry blossoms! So pretty. Of course, I would bring my best friend/running buddy/husband. He's the best! We ran our first half together and I would love to run another long race with him. 2. I have been following your blog for years and I honestly can't remember how I found it. Possibly through another blog? I love your approach to balance and fast, easy meals. You're down to earth and make nutrition more approachable. 3. White oak cheddar goes great with wine and crackers. Mmmm.....

I lived in DC for a short time and Cherry Blossom was my absolute favorite race EVER -- I wore a tutu AND raced a PR!! I've been hoping for the chance to get back there, and would be ecstatic for the opportunity to return and show my husband how amazing it is. I've been reading healthy lifestyle/fitness blogs off and on for years but have really been a regular since the winter shape-up. I've actually had my eyes out for the everything bagel cheese and think that would quickly surpass all other cheeses as my favorite.

    1. I would love to run the Cherry Blossom 10 milers because that is my favorite race distance. I had the opportunity to run Marine Corps, and love running in DC! The town also knows how to do a brunch. 2. I don't remember where I found out about your blog, but have continued to read because of your smart nutrition advice. I have Type 1 diabetes and have met with a lot of dietitians, but some of them provide really out of touch advice (will never forget the first, who used "meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas" as example of a typical lunch. Um, where?!) While not even specifically tailored to diabetes, a lot of your advice has led to better blood sugar outcomes for me (like my transition from eating plain oatmeal made with water, to eating oatmeal made with milk and toppings containing fat - way more stable blood sugars!) 3. I love all the cheese, but am excited - this is the first I'm hearing of Everything Bagel! For now, I will go with pepperjack.

I love learning about the workouts you do and I absolutely love your recipes. You really inspire me and after having recovered from an eating disorder I have used your blog to find motivation and inspiration to continue this healthy path. I would bring a friend who loves to run! 2) I'm not sure how I found your blog. What keeps me coming back is your philosophy on food & fitness. Definitely a social runner like you, and I know we'd have thee best time hanging out with the Cabot team and chatting about all things food and nutrition, running, and of course, cheese! Having a fun girls' weekend in DC would be the perfect mid-semester treat before finals start :)

I'm working my way up to a half marathon in the summer. I'm running a 10 miler in March and I'd like to get another one under my belt as part of my training. I have a running buddy that has the same goals as me. We train and run races together. I first found your blog because it was suggested on bloglovin based on my interests. Once I saw that you changed careers to be an RD (my goal too! I just went back to school!) and run, I was hooked. I bought your book and love your recipes. Thanks for sharing your work and life! I love all the sharp cheddars.

I've had friends who have done it and said how beautiful DC can be this time of year...it's a bucket list race for sure. I found your blog through Kylie at immaEATthat. You guys are two of my favorites. As I'm a running loving, cheese eating dietitian myself, I know we'd have a good time if i won this contest. Alpine cheddar is my favorite. Seriously sharp is a close second. Lastly, pick me! My friend and I are training for a marathon and would love this to be in our training schedule!!!

I've lived in DC since April 2013 and this is my last year in the city. The Cherry Blossom 10 Miler has been on my list of things to do and I haven't made it through the lottery. I'd love to win a chance to win this race so my husband and I can participate! A friend of mine referred me to your blog a couple of years ago. She lives in Kansas but I had just moved to DC and was training for the Marine Corps Marathon and she thought I would enjoy following you as well. We usually buy the extra sharp cheddar, but I do specifically remember buying and loving the horseradish cheese one time. I'd also like to try the habanero.

I have been reading health and fitness blogs for a while and Rose, being the wonderful dietitian friend that she is always tips me off one the ones that she thinks I would like. I love to run and cook healthy, delicious recipes. I find a lot of inspiration and motivation from bloggers such as yourself. It's easy to stay motivated with all of the fresh, healthy ideas flowing my way! 3. I love the hot habanero cheese! My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy but I love to load up the spice. I would love to be able to run the race with my boyfriend. It's been a crazy year for us with me finishing grad school and working full time, and him finishing his fourth year of med school. The race would be a great memory for us and something we could do before he starts his next big step of beginning his residency. While we both love running, our schedules have made it hard to find time to run together. I wish we could just sign up right now, but with a tight budget it wouldn't be possible. I found fANNEtastic Food by random. I had been searching for healthy recipes and it popped up. It's one of the only blogs that I stay up to date with. Not only are there awesome recipes, but your workout/runs keep me motivated, especially during the cold and snowy winters in Buffalo. While I don't like to discriminate against cheese, it's all delicious, I have to say that Cabot Vermont Cheddar is always my go to option.

I am a medical student (MD 2017!), going into this field because I'm very passionate about inspiring others to live a healthy lifestyle. The Cherry Blossom 10 Miler would be a great way to lead by example, to show my patients that everyone can be active and enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of exercise. I would bring my mom or sister, both of whom have supported me non-stop and are starting to love running as they get more involved in fitness. I found Fannetastic Food while searching for high protein breakfasts to keep me full during long surgeries (high protein oatmeal ftw!) I would love to run with the Cabot team because this race sounds awesome (loved your recap last year), DC is one of my favorite cities, and it's actually at a perfect point in my spring half marathon training. :) I would likely bring my friend Colleen, a great friend of mine and fellow runner. :) I first found your blog last year when I ran a Google search on popular running blogs...I was just getting into the running blog community (even though I'd been running for a while) and found your posts very down-to-earth yet still inspiring. Love your blog "voice" and all of the advice you provide! Used to live quite close to Vermont (CT, then Albany NY) and have eaten my fair share of Cabot cheese! Even visited their Cabot Annex while on a VT getaway once :) Favorite variety...pepper jack. Love the spicy stuff.

I'd like to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler because it's flat... and I'm from Florida. The most elevation change I do during a run is 2 feet! Not sure how I found your blog. I really like your travel post, though. And Vermont Sharp.... UMM!!!

I would SO love to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler!! I would want to run with either my beautiful sister (who is such an inspirational runner to me and the reason I got into running!) or my awesome boyfriend who is always there to cheer me on and has done a couple races as well but this one would be super special because we have been talking about a possible move to DC!!! And to see DC at the most beautiful time of the year! YES! I've been following your blog for YEARS, I'm pretty sure I googled "Healthy food blogs' ha and found KathEats and Healthy Tipping Point and I found you somehow that way! I've been reading for years, I rarely comment. You are the reason I got into Brooks finally (I think I commented about that :) and I haven't looked back! Love Cabot Cheese! In my house we are into the extra charp cheddar (or seriously sharp) but I remember one of my all time favorites was a special stock of super aged cheddar. I love cheddar. Okay thanks bye! :)

Hiya! I'd LOVE to run the DC Cherry Blossom 10-Miler, because DC is my favorite city (in the U.S., at least). I'll actually be flying up there later in April for my bridal shower. I'm originally from Virginia, but now live in the sweltering sauna that is South Florida. Second to Thanksgiving, Cherry Blossom season is my favorite time to visit "home." I'd bring my fiance with me, because I love doing races with him. We both work in the health and fitness industry, but are often too busy to get to work out together. This would give us a great excuse to make more running dates. :) I don't remember how I first came across Fannetastic Food. I'm a little bit obsessed with becoming a registered dietitian one day, so I think I found you through my research. The Skimm and Fannetastic Food are the two emails I look forward to reading every day. My coworkers will tell you I've been known to say, "I want to be Fannetastic Food when I grow up!" (I just realized that may be creepy - sorry!) Cabot's Pepper Jack Cheese was always on my grocery list in college. It's still my favorite flavor, though I think there are still a lot of flavors for me to try -- like the Hand-Rubbed Tuscan Cheddar...what?!

I would love to run the Cherry Blossom 10-miler because I've never run a race in DC. It would be awesome to be part of such an exciting event! I heard about the blog from a friend of mine who is a big fan. We are from Charleston, SC, so it's great to know you ran the half marathon! This week I used the Cabot Greek yogurt in a Super Bowl dip and it was amazing!!!

    1. I would love to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler because I have been wanting to run this race for the past few years, but between schedule and unable to get in the lottery for it I haven't been able to run it yet! I think it would be such a fun race and the course is beautiful! I would bring my mom with me because I just got her into long distance running this past summer/ fall and now she is running her first half marathon in May! I am her "trainer" and came up with the plan for her, so I think this would be another great race for us to do together before she does her half! 2. I've been a follower of your blog for a few years now so I can't really remember how I came across it, but it is one that I check on my daily blog roll in the morning! There are about 4 I read consistently and yours is one of them! I am in the health and fitness industry as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer so I love expanding my knowledge on the other side with nutrition. I think your teachings and mindset on food and nutrition is so good! It is refreshing to see a dietician eat a well balanced diet, but that doesn't restrict herself. 3. My favorite cabot cheese is definitely the Tomato Basil Cheddar!

I would love to run the 10-miler in DC as a part of my prep for the NJ half marathon at the end of April. Plus, I love the sights of the city. I ran the Nike Women's half the last year it was there and have great memories of running through parts of the city. I found you through a race write-up from CNC back in the day. I love the garlic & herb cheese. :)

I got turned on to your blog from Jason Fitzgerald and the Strength Running site. So happy I did :) 3. Love all of the cabot cheeses - hard to pick a favorite but I'd have to say the extra sharp cheddar if I was forced to pick one.

    1) I would love to run the Cherry Blossom 10-miler so I could bring my best friend with me as she's the one that inspired me to get into running years ago. While pregnant, she traveled to cheer me on at the finish line of my first half marathon less than a year after she got me to head out on my first run. She's also into nutrition, fitness, and works in social media so I know we would have a blast with you and the Cabot crew! (We're also from North Dakota so we don't make it to the east coast often, and I've never been in DC when the cherry blossoms are blooming!) 2) I wish I could remember how I came across your blog, but I've been a follower for 2 or 3 years. 3) Smoked Bacon Cheddar!

We have gone on tons of race-cations and I would love for her to experience this too! I found your blog through other running and lifestyle blogs. I keep coming back for the adventures that you have! Finally, if I have to pick just one, I love the Cabot pepper jack!

    1) Anne, your blog has always inspired me to be healthy and fit, and has really gotten me out of some tough times. I think it would be amazing to meet you and run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler as I have put it on my bucket list after reading last year about the fun you had. I also love cheese, and I am training for my first ever half marathon while cultivating my love of running. So this opportunity is a culmination of all of my favorite things! I would have to bring my longtime boyfriend with me- he ran cross country and distance track for college, and helped me train for my first 6k two Thanksgivings ago. Even though he is fast, I would sweet talk him into running with me to keep me company :) 2) I happened to stumble across your blog about a year ago, and it changed everything for me! I was in a negative relationship with running and fitness, but all of that changed when I started reading about how fitness and nutrition doesn't have to be daunting- that it should make you feel good! Ask any of my family or close friends and they will tell you just how much I bring up you and how I find you so inspiring. I love coming back and seeing new blog posts about all of your awesome adventures, and even go back into the archives if I haven't gotten my "fANNEtastic fix". Getting to see how you balance it all gives me faith that even though I don't have it all figured out now, someday I will. 3) It's difficult to just pick one favorite of Cabot cheese, but I think muenster wins out of my top three (muenster, pepper jack, and extra sharp cheddar).

    1. I love Cabot products and am currently training for a half! I would bring my friend that I'm training for the half with. 2. Found it a few years ago back when I was trying to eat healthier. What kept me coming back was the general healthy living tips and day-to-day. 3. I love cheddars in general!

I would love to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler as training for my half Ironman in September! I would bring my husband and we could explore DC, something that has been on our bucket list for a while. As a fellow dietitian, I love reading your blog because you keep it real with eats and fitness, and share informative nutrition information to the masses. I reference your posts a lot, like What Oil to Use When, whenever I need a refresher :) I recently discovered the pepper jack Cabot cheese and it is super tasty!

    1) I would try to convince my boyfriend... otherwise I'd bring an old friend from college who I haven't seen in forever! I'd love to have the chance to push myself back into longer distance running (I currently run 6-7 miles during my "long" run each week and am looking for a good reason to get back to my longer distances)! 2) I honestly can't remember how I first found your blog, probably through Gina! I enjoy your fitness and nutrition outlook, and how nothing is truly "off limits" 3) I love their extra sharp cheddar! And it's awesome because it's naturally lactose free!!

I haven't been to Washington D.C. since about 6th grade and I have always wanted to see the Cherry Blossoms! I also am doing Boston this year and the 10 miler would be a great tune-up race! I would probably bring one of my best college friends with me. I think I got linked over to your blog from Peanut Butter Fingers, but I don't remember for sure, it's been a couple of years! I love to see your recipes and nutrition tips, particularly the intuitive eating posts. I love sharp cheddar!

I'd bring my boyfriend with me! We went on a trip together to DC last year and had such a wonderful time, and he recently agreed to run a race with me at some point, so why not in April! I found your blog when I was preparing to run my first race longer than a 5K- The Tar Heel 10 Miler! Your recap was so helpful and made me feel a lot calmer, and I stayed for all of the recipes and running tips. And also to support a fellow Tar Heel :) My fave has gotta be Horseradish Cheddar, so good!

LOVE your blog. I would definitely bring my dad to run this 10K. My dad and I recently ran the Marine Corps Marathon in DC and it was such an incredible experience. I would love to enjoy another weekend like it, doing what I love, with a person I love.

I would bring my hubby (and six month old bebe). We have run half marathons together in the past, and this would be a great way to get back into it. Found your blog through Julie/PB Fingers and have been a longtime reader of both! Love your pics of DC- makes me miss living there! Can't get enough pepperjack!

Anne, Thanks for the chance to win. I just finished my first 15k this past weekend and would love to do a destination race, especially with you and the Cabot team. I'm not sure who I would bring, one of my fabulous running buddies! I can't remember how I found your blog. Maybe on Pinterest when I was looking up becoming a registered dietitian. Love Cabot! I regularly buy the Vermont Sharp.

    1) My husband and I love to travel and are always looking for new races to try. We've never been to DC and it's on my bucket list. Plus we need some race motivation to get us out running in the cold Iowa weather! 2) I'm not even sure how I found this blog so many years ago. I found it while I was struggling with an eating disorder and always looking for "skinny" recipes but instead I found a blog that offers motivating and healthy advice that didn't make me feel guilty. I'm well past that stage in my life but I continue to return to this blog because I look to Anne for nutrition advice, exercise tips, gear reviews, and recipe inspiration. 3) It's so hard to choose one kind but I supposed I'd pick pepper jack as my go-to.

I'd love to visit DC to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler! I haven't been to DC since my 8th Grade field trip, so I'd love a chance to go back! I'd bring my sister as my guest & running partner. I found your blog through other Healthy Living Bloggers. I like your fresh take on nutrition and exercise. I'm training for my first half marathon, and reading your blog helps keep me accountable. :) My favorite Cabot product is the Light Whipped Cream! I also love the reduced fat sharp cheddar.

I would bring my husband with me for the run :) I found your blog through another blog and come back for your tips on making your own running fuel. Definitely sharp white cheddar for sure!

I am supposed to run a half on 4/2, so I will be ready for a 10 miler. Lived in Nova for 10 years before I started running, so I've never run up there. And, cheese it literally my favorite food!

I would take my boyfriend to run with me! We both ran the Tar Heel 10 Miler in college and were blessed to spend lots of time together exploring DC when my grandpa was alive and living in the suburbs there. We unfortunately haven't been since he passed last year. I started reading your blog, as I too am a Tar Heel. As an undergrad, I always hoped I'd run into you. Your recipes and workouts keep me coming back! And I don't know if I can choose a favorite flavor -- probably the everything bagel cheddar!

    1) Why do you want to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler with the Cabot-fANNEtastic team? Who would you bring with you as your guest? - I would love to do this because this race is on my bucket list! I also love Washington D.C. and always enjoy traveling there. I would bring my husband because he is getting more into running and it would be something fun to do together. 2) How did you first find my blog and what keeps you coming back? I found your blog when looking for Stitch Fix reviews on the web but I keep coming back because I am also a runner and a nutrition enthusiast. I really love your approach to both! 3) What's your favorite variety/flavor of Cabot cheese? My favorite Cabot is Pepper-Jack. I just had some yesterday, actually, as a snack while driving home on a road trip!

So amazing! I entered all :) If I won and you wouldn't already be there I would have totally brought you! Our exercise adventures are the best...and to be continued in Central Park soon! I've always wanted to run the Cherry Blossom 10 miler and Cabot is awesome too! Big races + 10 miles + cheese = happiness. Bummer about the random crime scene shortening the course last year for you guys...

Love your blog... I enjoy the recipes you provide and look for these and your fabulous advice about nutrition. I came to your blog after a serious Sternotomy surgery in 2011 and found your writing and running counsel so helpful for me. ( love those 5 minute Peanut Butter Granola bars--- never travel without-eat every a.m. Prior to my workouts). I ran my first ever half one year after this surgery. My running journey has slowed somewhat, but am still a active / avid workout enthusiast . I now run about 12-14 miles over a week span. Off days I use an eclips. Would love to run this race as "Spring" in those beautiful blossoms signifies just that. My daughter who lives/works in DC would run with me. We both love cheese ----sharp cheddar anything!

I want to run the 10 miler because I've always wanted to see the cherry blossoms during the spring in DC! I would bring my sister because she has never been to DC before and it would be a BLAST! I found fannetastic food during my dietetic internship browsing dietitian blogs :) and used it as a resource when studying for the RD exam. When it comes to Cabot cheese, I don't discriminate but do love the classic Vermont sharp cheddar (PSA- we need more Cabot in California!!)

I would love to do this race because a few of my favorite girls/runner friends live in DC and this would be a great opportunity to visit them and combine the trip with one of my favorite things! I would bring my best friend Ellen - a fellow runner and cheese-lover. I discovered your blog a few years ago when we were both training for our first marathons around the same time. I also follow a similar, three day a week running schedule so we have a lot in common fitness-wise. I love all of the sharp cheddar Cabot cheeses. :-D

I want to run the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler because I think it is one of the most distinct races in the country. Similar to the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia ( where I am from and ran last year) the route is scenic and unique. DC is a gorgeous city and this race would not disappoint. Also I would want to run with the Cabot-fANNEtastic team because I love meeting new people and especially new running people. I would bring my friend Jessica as my guest. She also loves running and is my best friend from college. We don't get to see each other often, so this weekend and this run would be perfect to make up for lost time. I found your awesome blog through a friend from school who is also a blogger. I enjoy reading blogs to catch up on new trends and events that I may have looked over and to also get opinions on. I enjoy your articles and the topics you chose to write about. You have diverse articles that in some way always relate to living a healthy lifestyle. I feel like our lifestyles are similar, that is why I keep coming back! My favorite variety/flavor of Cabot cheese is sharp OF COURSE.
