I love being downtown when it’s like this… everything was very quiet. There were almost no cars on the streets and people were just wandering all over in the roads.

There were lots of trees down 🙁 I saw a HUGE tree that had pretty much crushed two cars… yikes.

We wandered all the way down to the White House park. I miss this park. When I used to work downtown I would walk over and eat my lunch here on the benches all the time 🙂

People should probably have Twizzlers for mouths, too. 😉

Looks like Obama might be snowed in… you in there, B??

From the White House, we made our way down to the Washington Monument 🙂

Ah ha! There you are!

School was cancelled again today so I’m spending the day doing some editing work from home for my job and getting ahead on schoolwork while I wait for the next storm to hit! Apparently it’s going to start any minute… here we go again!

I’ll leave you with a picture of my new friend:

LOVE these pictures! isn't it amazing how something so beautiful can be so destructive? stay warm girl :)
My friend and I were talking about just that on Sunday! We were saying how we don't really compare snow to super destructive things like tornadoes and hurricanes, but really, snow can be just as destructive if in large quantities! -Anne

You're pictures are wonderful. I was actually going to head downtown that day too until I started walking to the metro and it was too much. I wasn't feeling well but also the sidewalks weren't even shoveled so you had to walk in the slush of the street- ick! Get ready for #3! call me if you need anything :)

Pretty pics! I work on 16th and K and frequent that park often! I actually made my way into work today from Fairlington because I know I'll be snowed in tomorrow. Had to get out of the house! Stay safe!

What gorgeous pictures! The snow's headed our way (Boston) tomorrow. I might have to employ the Twizzler smile on a snowman or two. :)

gorg pics, as per usual! this snow is getting so ridiculous. i'm no stranger to winter, but seriously, moved to mid-VA thinking 'mild winters' and this is what i get! oh well, at least its historic, and quite lovely...for a day or two :) be safe!

Hi Anne! I'm just getting to this post and I LOVE the pictures! It makes me miss DC so much. Such an awesome (and underappreciated!) city. I'm hoping to be back in about two weeks with some friends I can't wait! It's snowy here in Pa and I am so ready for this weather to be gone gone gone.
