12 Healthy Avocado Recipes

I’m a huge fan of avocados. The healthy fats, the creamy texture, the lightly savory flavor that somehow elevates every dish… they’re just so good! So today, I wanted to share some of my favorite healthy avocado recipes with you.

Delicious Recipes with Avocado

Avocado is one of the most versatile foods there is. The fact that it’s just as delicious in savory meals as it is in baked goods speaks to that. (I’ll be focusing on the savory side in this post, though!)

Not only that, but it’s a powerhouse of nutrients – from omega-3 fatty acids to a multitude of vitamins and minerals.

It’s no wonder the avocado is so beloved. It’s always been a delicious addition to Mexican dishes, and of course there’s the recent popularity of avocado toast, too.

It’s even a great substitution for mayonnaise in egg/tuna salads (recipes below!) and is quite tasty in dips.

Did you know you can even add avocado to smoothies? It just makes it creamy and doesn’t change the taste! 

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite healthy recipes with avocado!

Smashed Avocado Toast with Goat Cheese

Creamy goat cheese and smashed avocado make a delicious combination! Spread over toasted bread and you’ve got yourself a delicious, quick, and nutritious snack.

A squeeze of lemon juice and peppery arugula add even more flavor!

Healthy Egg Salad with Avocado

This flavorful egg salad recipe swaps out the mayo for creamy avocado.

With different flavor variations (like the herbed egg salad pictured above, or curried egg salad), you’re bound to find a version you love for a quick and easy lunch.

Savory French Toast with Herbs & Avocado

You may have tried sweet french toast, but have you tried a savory version?

This one features fresh herbs, avocado, and fried eggs for a crave-worthy brunch that’s surprisingly easy to make.

Avocado Strawberry Toast with Balsamic Glaze

This avocado toast combines a variety of flavors – sweet, savory, and tart (from the balsamic vinegar) – for a unique and tasty snack.

Perfect for when you can’t decide what you’re in the mood for!

Avocado White Bean Hummus with Lemon

I always say this recipe is like if hummus and guacamole mated. Great combo, right?

It’s essentially white bean hummus made extra creamy with the addition of avocado! A squeeze of lemon brightens up the flavor even more.

It’s delicious served with crispy crackers, crusty bread, and/or crunchy veggies.

Quinoa Taco Salad

This quinoa salad is one of my favorite quick lunches. It only takes a few minutes to throw together (using leftover quinoa) and has such a refreshing flavor.

I always top mine with diced avocado (or guacamole) if I have it on hand!

Healthy Tuna Salad with Avocado

You won’t miss the mayo in this creamy tuna salad (made with avocado and dijon mustard instead!).

It’s so flavorful and can be customized with different flavor combinations, like the pictured Mediterranean tuna salad. It features artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, lemon juice and fresh parsley and is crazy delicious.

Healthy Breakfast Tacos with Avocado Crema

Breakfast tacos are all the rage these days, and for good reason!

With soft scrambled eggs, veggies, salsa and/or Avocado Crema, these are a great way to start the day off right.

Chilled Avocado Gazpacho with Melon

This chilled gazpacho with avocado and cantaloupe is the perfect summer soup!

It’s quick to whip up and so refreshing, with fresh herbs like basil and mint.

Quinoa Salad with Orange Vinaigrette, Avocado & Arugula

This bright and flavorful quinoa salad features arugula, avocado, white beans, feta, and slivered almonds all drizzled in a zingy orange vinaigrette.

It’s easy to make, and perfect for a meal prep packed lunch!

Loaded Vegetarian Nachos (Sheet Pan)

These sheet pan nachos are perfect for when you want a delicious meal, but don’t feel like spending a bunch of time in the kitchen.

Just toss everything over tortilla chips, top with shredded cheese, and bake until melty. The avocado crema that gets drizzled on top elevates these loaded nachos even more!

Savory Oatmeal with Eggs

Savory oatmeal might sound a little ‘out there’, but I promise it’s delicious! It’s so creamy and veggie-packed, with sautéed mushrooms, arugula, and sliced avocado. I love it with a runny fried egg on top!

    That second quinoa salad looks really good! Also the hummus version. Lots to try beyond my standard avocado toast with a fried egg and a little hot sauce on top!

    Delicious!!! 😋 Always a game changer in our meals!! Love ❤ sliced avocado with a turkey & brie sandwich! Thousand Island dressing is so good together with the sammie! Your choice of breads ,,,, can be anything! Bagel, 🥯 rye, sweet wheat bread ,,,,, I've even used raisin bread!!! 😋 You look real nice Anne. Kiddos are cute! Growing & growing!! Always read your blog. No time to comment usually. Today I made an effort to do so!! Have a great 😊 summertime!!
