Going straight from a long weekend away to a personal training session at LA Boxing? Yeah. That was rough.

077

076

There were tires.

041

(My tricep is lookin’ fierce!!)

044

049

And pull ups done while bouncing on the tire (which I was almost too short for):

011

009

And inner leg squeezes.

074

And planks and pushups on weighted balls.

088

(Put one hand down on the ground. Put the other hand down. Move them back up onto the balls. Repeat.)

086

Sometimes I moved so quickly my camera couldn’t keep up.

016

Sometimes I didn’t.

052

And sometimes I just watched the clock 😉

090

097

But I was ALWAYS sweating! 🙂

Do you jump right back into a hard workout upon returning from a trip? Even though it’s hard because I’m usually tired, I like to, because it really helps me get back on track! Even though I hit the hotel gym a couple times over the weekend and went for a short run, it was still good to get in some serious sweat-age. I missed it!

Check out my previous LA Boxing posts for some inspiration:

  • LA Boxing gets fANNEtastic!
  • Why do you exercise?

  • Personal training — week 1: a kick-butt conditioning workout
  • Personal training — week 2: boxing and self defense moves
  • Personal training — week 3: dripping sweat, but still laughing!
  • Personal training — week 4: full body conditioning
  • Personal training — week 5: bring on the tank tops!
  • Personal training — week 6: conditioning-palooza!
  • Personal training — week 7: speed demon

LA Boxing DC Area Meet Up!

A fun announcement for my D.C. area readers! LA Boxing has offered to run a special fANNEtastic food readers only free demo class at the Arlington LA Boxing location on Sunday, July 11th at 1 p.m.! If you’ve been wanting to try LA Boxing but haven’t gotten the nerve to check it out, this is your big chance 🙂 Plus, you get to meet me! If you’re interested in joining for an awesome workout and some socializing, send me an email at fannetasticfood@gmail.com with your name and contact information. Other bloggers are welcome as well, and if you have a blog please note it in the email! Only about 30 people can be accommodated comfortably, so I’d recommend emailing me ASAP if you’re interested as it will be first come, first serve! Just a heads up — you will be asked to purchase wraps ($12) to participate in the class, but gloves will be free to borrow.

Have a great day!

dang, i am always so impressed by your workouts! Would love to try LA Boxing if they were in Eugene, OR but there are some good sample workouts for those of us who live a ways away. You will be kicking some major booty when this training session is done. That is tough stuff!

Sometimes I can just right back in to working out, sometimes I need a buffer. Having a set appointment definitely helps to get back in the swing of things.

I always jump in full force after a vacation and it ends up hurting. When I went to Austin a few weeks ago i was away from LaBoxing for about 4-5 days and it killed when I got back. I was talking to an instructor and he said normally after 3 days of not going your body will hurt when you come back. I agree with him 100%!
