36 Week Pregnancy Update

36 weeks today! We are officially 1 month out from our due date, and in the timeframe where the baby could essentially come any day. My pregnancy app even has a new button as of this week that says “my baby was born!” Whoa. We don’t think she’ll come early, and I haven’t felt any pre-contractions (Braxton Hicks) yet, but who knows. Time to just Continue Reading …

Battle of the Bumps!

Morning guys! I started my day off my favorite way – with a workout with the ladies! Chelsea, Kathleen, and I hit up Urban Athletic Club’s Glover Park location via ClassPass (<- affiliate link for $40 off) for one of their morning boot camp classes. They are doing a new format now that we don’t love as much as the old one (it’s basically Continue Reading …

Recent Eats + Calendar Nerdiness

Hi guys – I have some good news: sardines and I are friends again after a pregnancy-related hiatus! My favorite way to eat them is in a pita – I mash the sardines with some mayo and dijon mustard, toss some greens in there, and chow down. Delish. Sardines = rich in omega 3’s, low in mercury, and loaded with calcium thanks to the tiny edible Continue Reading …

Weekend Highlights

Hi guys – popping in for some weekend highlights today. One of the biggest highlights was a really nice hike out at Mason Neck State Park – nature is my happy place and it felt good to get away (even though it’s not that far away – about 1 hour from DC) and enjoy the scenery and nature. We spent a few hours on the trails there with a group of Continue Reading …

Recent Eats

Hi guys – popping in for some recent food highlights. Pregnancy has me still not super excited about food, but there were a couple meals I enjoyed this week in particular! This combo of a salad (crab cake = yum) + fries from Kramerbooks in Dupont hit the spot for lunch the other day. Fun to see my friend Stephanie and her baby boy, too! And Continue Reading …

Tips to Streamline Your Morning Routine

Thank you to The Quaker Oats Company for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own. As life has gotten busier, having a streamlined morning routine has always been something that was important to me. I certainly didn’t want to skip out on breakfast just to get some extra sleep, but I also didn’t want to waste that precious sleep Continue Reading …

Eats/Exercise + Dog Update

It finally feels like October over here! We are enjoying some lovely crisp mornings and cooler temps and I don’t hate it. :) This week would be reeeeeally nice running weather, but since I can’t run right now I’m enjoying the sunrise views while driving to studio workouts with Chelsea instead. :) The above shot was in Georgetown on Tuesday Continue Reading …

Chicken White Bean Chili Soup Recipe

This Chicken White Bean Chili Soup recipe is quick, easy, and so flavorful. I originally shared this recipe back in 2012, but it has gotten a photo upgrade, and now that fall weather has set in I wanted to re-share it because it's such a great weeknight meal. Tip: try using rotisserie chicken as a shortcut - it makes for a super quick dinner that Continue Reading …
