Mexican-Style Sweet Potato Fries

If you haven’t tried sweet potatoes seasoned with cumin yet, you are missing out. These Mexican-Style Sweet Potato Fries are flavorful, so easy, and a perfect healthy side dish for just about any meal.

This recipe is a no-recipe recipe, it’s so easy that no measurement is necessary – just toss sweet potatoes with a few shakes of ground cumin and black pepper before baking!

Mexican-Style Sweet Potato Fries


  • 1 sweet potato
  • Cracked pepper
  • Ground cumin


Preheat oven to 375. Slice sweet potato into fry shapes. Place on baking tray and sprinkle with cracked pepper and cumin.

Bake about 20 to 25 mins, and then enjoy with salsa to continue with the Mexican theme!

These sweet potato fries would be a great side for some of my favorite main dishes, like my Roasted Salmon with Watermelon Salsa or Gluten Free Chicken Fingers!

    I heart sweet potato fries- they’re super easy, pretty nutritious AND scrumptious. I use rosemary and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper for a little kick. YUM.

    Love making fresh sweet potatoes fries or chips! I usually top them with oregano. Yum!

    I cook mine in the air fryer. They turn out great, every time, without having to heat the house in summer.
