I’m curious – are you team pumpkin the moment the calendar turns to September (or perhaps earlier?!)? Or do you like waiting until the weather turns or it’s “officially” fall?

For me it’s not so much the day on the calendar but rather the feel of the air – when it starts to feel crisp, I’m all in with fall things. Until then, I’m not ready. 🙂

It’s not quite feeling like fall out there yet here, but I figured where some of you live it would be, so it didn’t hurt to share this post now. Plus, you can always pin or save it for later, right?!

Easy Autumn Snack Recipes

I pretty much always keep snacks on hand – whether for me or the kids, it’s vital to make sure we don’t go from happy to hangry within a matter of minutes. These are all perfect make-ahead options for just that.

Of course we have a few apple and pumpkin snacks in the mix, because it wouldn’t be a fall snack recipes round up post without those, right?! But there are also some other just as tasty flavors in the mix, like butternut squash, pear, fig, and cranberry.

So, let’s get to these yummy fall snack ideas!

Healthy Pumpkin Muffins with Applesauce

Soft and tender pumpkin muffins are the ultimate fall snack or breakfast! These are made with applesauce for a moist texture – plus it adds a delicious flavor.

These muffins are extra tasty with a smear of almond butter or Greek yogurt for added protein, too!

Baked Kale Chips (4 Ways)

If you’re looking for something savory and crispy, these easy baked kale chips are the way to go! There are 4 different flavor to choose from (like nacho cheese and everything bagel).

They’re a fabulous nutrient-dense but still super delicious way to meet your next salty, crunchy craving.

Sweet Potato Cranberry Muffins

Spiced sweet potato muffins studded with sweet-tart dried cranberries just scream autumn. The flavor is elevated even further with shredded coconut.

It’s an easy make ahead snack you’ll look forward to every day!

Pumpkin Biscotti with Goji Berries

Biscotti pairs beautifully with hot coffee, and this pumpkin biscotti will get you through those chilly fall mornings! Each piece is packed with dried goji berries for a lightly sweet, fruity flavor (plus antioxidants).

Bonus: these are extra nutritious because they’re made with whole wheat pastry flour!

Vanilla Protein Balls with Figs

If you loved Fig Newtons as a kid, bring back the nostalgic flavor with these wholesome vanilla fig protein bites. They’re packed with protein, fiber, and healthy fat thanks to the almonds, walnuts, flaxseed, and dried figs.

These make a great portable snack for when you’re on the go, too.

Cranberry Orange Bread

Crunchy, nutty pecans and juicy cranberries come together for a lightly sweet autumnal bread! This whole wheat bread is also packed with zingy orange flavor (thanks to orange juice and zest) and sweetened with light brown sugar.

A slice of this bread makes the perfect flavorful breakfast or afternoon snack, especially paired with a hard boiled egg!

Spiced Butternut Squash Muffins

Apparently I’m a huge fan of fall-themed muffins, huh?!

You’ve probably heard of pumpkin spice, but what about butternut squash spice?! These lightly sweetened, whole wheat squash muffins are packed with dried cranberries and warm spices (like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves).

Cheesy Sun-Dried Tomato Pizza Granola Bars

Love granola bars, but looking for something a little different? These crispy, cheesy granola bars taste like pizza – but are made with wholesome ingredients and are much more portable!

With sun-dried tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and parmesan, they’re packed with flavor and texture.

Vegan Oatmeal Pumpkin Cookies

When you think of fall snacks, you think of pumpkin – and you can’t go wrong with some oatmeal pumpkin cookies! These wholesome cookies happen to be vegan, with chewy oats, dried cranberries, and pumpkin pie spices.

They have no refined sugar, either – they’re sweetened with maple syrup and ripe banana.

Gluten Free Savory Muffins with Cheddar & Eggs

These herb and cheddar muffins have a fun, protein-packed surprise in the middle: a hard-boiled egg! They’re perfect for when you’re craving baked goods, but aren’t feeling something sweet.

Did I mention these are also gluten-free?! This recipe uses a mix of millet flour and chickpea flour, plus dill, thyme, and cheddar for tons of flavor.

Peanut Butter Bliss Balls (No Bake)

Some days you just don’t feel like baking, and that’s where these little no bake bliss balls come in! Oats, chia seeds, peanut butter, dried cranberries, and honey are all you need to make these tasty bites.

They make fabulous back-to-school snacks (you can swap the peanut butter for sunflower seed butter if needed for nut-free schools), and they’re kid-friendly, too!

Banana Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins

These oatmeal muffins are packed full of goodness, including juicy blueberries, ripe banana, crunchy walnuts, and even a hidden veggie (but you won’t even notice it!).

They’re perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up when you feel your energy start to drag.

Healthy Peanut Butter Banana Bread

This whole wheat banana bread is packed with peanut buttery flavor. There’s no added oil or butter as the peanut butter and bananas add plenty of moistness to the baked bread.

Enjoy a slice on its own, or smeared with extra peanut butter or Greek yogurt and sliced bananas!

Homemade Protein Granola Bars

Protein-packed, easily customizable granola bars make the best midday snacks! These are full of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, shredded coconut, and peanut butter (plus optional chocolate chips).

They’re sweetened with maple syrup and honey and baked to golden perfection. It’s crunchy, nutty snack bliss!

Gluten Free Pumpkin Muffins

Nothing says fall like spiced pumpkin muffins! These are made gluten free (thanks to a combination of coconut flour and almond flour). They’re also made with walnuts and raisins for an elevated flavor and texture!

Filled with fiber and healthy fat, these make a fabulous afternoon snack.

Apple Oatmeal Bars with Cinnamon

Craving that apple pie flavor, but looking for something less decadent and more portable? Try these cinnamon apple oatmeal bars! They’re soft and chewy, with a little brown sugar for sweetness.

Bonus: these perfect fall treats will make your house smell amazing while they bake!

Ginger Pear Muffins with Honey

I feel like pears don’t get enough love, but they definitely deserve some attention! Especially when paired with a kick of spice from ginger and the sweetness of honey. This flavor combo is just too good to pass up.

Plus, these muffins don’t skimp on the texture, either – they’re moist and fluffy!

I know I’ll be enjoying these fall snacks all autumn long. I hope you get a chance to enjoy some, too! 🙂

People can start up the pumpkin action whenever they want, but I'm not ready unti it feels like fall outside. Definitely light jacket weather is required for me to get on the fall spices train (except for apple cider donuts which somehow I would love to eat year round!)
